Peace and Security, Great Tribulation, Armageddon

An article says:

Nepal went dark, literally.

In seventeen minutes, the entire nation’s internet disappeared.

Students, workers, families, unable to communicate, trapped in sudden silence.

The blackout wasn’t an accident. Someone pressed the kill switch, and the

world had no choice but to stare blankly at the void.

So what if during GT, someone triggers the “Internet Kill switch”.
No social medias, no JWTalk etc.

That’s why, when I watched the video, it felt like seeing the Great Tribulation from the point of view of someone in the middle of looting and mass protests. 😬😬😬

People were doing whatever they wanted—without any regard for laws...

Oh no the world is gonna be like in the 90s. Im sorry but i feel that social media as a whole was a mistake. It does nore harm than good especially for the littles.

As for Charlie Kirk, kinda sad he died. Ive seen peoole celebrate hia death. How miserable in your life do you need to be to praise someone dying. there's now a whole family that'll never be the same and you're popping champaign because he hurt your feelings? I think ive seen a few of his debates (its either him or another popular right wong debater but im 80% sure it was Charlie) and he tends to take the 'let the followers get caught up in their own lack of beliefs' route, which is something I do myself in and outside of the ministry. "oh you feel this way, can you back it up?" For examplr, one thing people love to do is say the bible promotes rape and will use the story of the brothers that murdered all those dudes after their sister got raped. They use their lack of a blessing as the bible promoting rape. You can kinda see where this logic falls apart, however if you correct them as to what actually happen you'll probably get blocked (at least i have).

Careful, I will derail and jump conversations like i was a pole jumper in the Olympics. Reply with caution🥺🤣

I never knew who this guy was until yesterday.  Though difficult we need to remain neutral.  This man was a political activist who spoke some truths but not the THE Truth.  Never model any portion of our preaching work after someone whose words were not seasoned with salt and thrived off of useless debates and arguments - neither fits into what we do as JWs.

Not saying i'm modeling what he does in my preaching work (Especially because it was something i did BEFORE seeing what he did), i'm saying that how i approach things is similar to how he does it. It's like if you're like "Oh i follow a recipe the same way as someone else.". People approach things differently and sometimes the same way. There is a proverb that we did a few weeks ago about how to handle fools. Proverbs 26:4-5, there are TONS of people out there witnesses and not that follow this. Getting people stuck on their own stupidity is biblical advice, that's what he did with his debates (And why people hated him)

A current example. A CHRISTIAN (baptist) friend of mine (orange) vs me (me). She's saying he was bigoted, i asked how, she mentioned how, so I'm using what she used and questioning her. I'm simply asking her, why does she believe why does hating what God hates make you a bigot according to what she says.

I appreciate you sharing that @Ostria. I think we really need to be careful. Those that claim to represent God in this way are also very political. It's really hard right now to separate the 2. They feel the answer in a moral way is to support a political party.  That view in itself is not our view. Jehovah has a kingdom and it's not part of any of this even though some of what one party may seem more righteous, the other side may seem more accepting of peoples way of life. I just stay quiet.

@ChrisW There has been a strange movement where EVERYTHING has turned political (I'm not saying this is right). I've ran into people that even said that Jesus himself was political because of how he preached. They consider it a political stance.  Even to some reading a bible is considered political. I have an aunt that hates that we don't vote, when i tell her that this world isnt part of the heavenly kingdom, she responds with "Jesus wants us to look after each other right? So voting to protect people is what we need to do. If you don't vote, you're not protecting people, thus you're not doing what Jesus would want you to do."

There's also a movement where common sense is considered hate speech and is political now. A boy is a boy, a girl is a girl is now political and hate speech. If you use the Bible to back up how you feel/believe it's considered hate speech, whether you're 'political' or not, you're going to be tossed in the same pile as a republican because you believe in the Bible in the outside world. Political neutrality doesn't exist in Satan's world, if you say you're politically neutral you will be deemed as heartless and several other unsavory things (I'm not saying we cant/shouldnt be politically neutral, but when you bring it up to people, it tends to be shunned quickly, and even to the point being politically neutral IS political). Having no stance on politics is political.

I understand what you are saying. But, I don't bring it up.  Because it is so upsetting and triggering for some. No matter what you say they will put you and your words in a category. I try not to give them anything.
