Could get very ugly after 11/5.

I don't think "could" is the right word.  I'm pretty sure it will, regardless who wins.

The question is whether that leads into the GT, or if we still got more time...  I can easily see how things play out with either candidate, kicking off the GT.  But only time will tell for sure....  And that time is approaching fast!

Just my opinion - Americans in general are lazy! (note: by lazy I mean - don't want to spend time, money or energy in anything that does not DIRECTLY give them a benefit).

As such - I doubt, other than a handful of "faithful", that anyone will do very much at all either way the election swings. Will they still post mean things on-line - that requires almost zero effort and investment? Sure. Will they expend time, money and energy on actually fighting and possibly losing money or livelihood? I don’t see. (Talk is cheap - as they say).

Plan ahead as if Armageddon will not come in your lifetime, but lead your life as if it will come tomorrow (w 2004 Dec. 1 page 29)

Every time I see mass protests (abortion rights, gun control, my body my choice, etc etc etc) I wonder if all those people have jobs?  Sure seems like they have enough time and no care about losing livelihood (if they even have a job) to be doing all that protesting....

I would normally agree with your opinion....but I keep seeing stuff like that....  :raspberry:

Honestly, I also lost a bit of my expectations regarding the times and seasons. I don’t know, with the new information, it seems that topics like the generation and, for example, the basement video and the song 'Jehovah Gives Me Courage' have been postponed. Please, don’t take me wrong, try to understand me. It feels like it has become obsolete, like everything that was so close, right before our eyes, just around the corner, now seems like it will take a long time. The feeling was that 1 or 2 years were left until the start of the great tribulation, but now it feels like it could take 15 years or more. Why do I feel this way? All I want is for this wicked system to end so that we can get out of this struggle and the clutches of the Devil’s world. How long, oh my God Jehovah, will we have to wait?

Today I feel sadness in my heart. 😥

I'm sorry you feel this way. Sometimes the trials we go through can make our mind go through a loop and we just want out already!!! When I think like this, sometimes reflecting on some questions can give me a glimpse of what's happening in my head and it can help me see things differently:

  • What challenge has Jehovah seen me through recently? (Psalms 56:3, 😎
  • What areas would I like to improve that would draw me closer to Jehovah?
  • What have I learned about myself and Jehovah during recent challenges?
  • What actions should I take for areas that I might be less spiritually secure in?
  • Is there a spiritual friend that I can talk to who has endured faithfully through challenges?

Sometimes taking time to refocus on what we can do for Jehovah keeps us from focusing with a date in mind and going down a deeper hole. Hope this helps

No long-term plans

When I was a teenager, I used to have my life with a 20-yr plan. When I turned 20, it was a 15 yr plan. When I turned 30, then it was a 10-yr plan. When I turned 40, then it was a 5-yr plan. When I turned 42, my mother died, then my plan went year by year. Now I'm 45, just try my best and give my best to Jehovah, day by day.

This country as an empire has already come to its finish so-to-speak.  It can no longer even be called an empire when societies law, justice and leadership are gone and the masses are running rampant its time for Jehovah to step in. You can see the fringes of this empire just blowing in the wind.

Without a doubt as we wait for the prophecies to finish playing out we can appreciate how close we are.  Now, we wait on Jehovah.

I really love this Indian sign language convention music presentation "It will not be late". It helps me to be more patient especially in these critical times.

5:48 time mark is the song

I also loved the rest of the paragraph:

” Father used to say that we should plan ahead as if Armageddon would not come in our lifetime but lead our life as if it would come tomorrowprecious advice that I have always tried to apply. Balancing patience and eager expectation is not always easy, especially since the ravages of old age now keep me confined at home. Yet, I have never doubted Jehovah’s promise to all his faithful servants: “Trust in Jehovah with all your heart . . . In all your ways take notice of him, and he himself will make your paths straight.”—Proverbs 3:5, 6.

TBH i think this is probably one of the best quotes I know. This is exactly how i carry on with my everyday life. The end shall come. Jehovah has set up the right date and time for that thus it shall not come too late or too early, but exactly when it is meant to arrive.

Is this still applicable now that we are living in the last of the last days?

so many things have changed, the appearance of KOTN and many info about GT, the beard, pants...no ministry record. They happened for a reason.

They did have the brother from Korea who was graduating from 194th Gilead School (2021) quote this very article.

3 years ago - seems relevant.

EDIT: This will be relevant right up to the point the Great Tribulation starts - as until it starts, we need to keep moving forward and not just sitting and waiting for the end.

I don't think any of us are just sitting around and waiting for the end. Many are fighting a tough battle to survive financially at all, there is no room to plan as if Armageddon would never come. Not everyone has the opportunity to continue their education or to catch up on a degree, not to mention the fact that higher secular education is rather discouraged. And many simply cannot afford materials that are better and therefore more expensive. Times are very difficult for many of us and Armageddon is the only bright spot on the horizon. I just like Matthew 6:33. first the kingdom and Jehovah gives us what we need. Not a luxury life, but it's enough for us.
