They've been saying Russia is inches from collapse since the start of the war. Anyone remember them saying Russia would run out of bullets in 2 weeks? Let's see what happens with the negotiations.

The Day After, Testament, and Threads are probably the 3 best  post-nuclear war "what if" movies ever made.

"The Day After" before being publicly aired was first shown to the President of the United States Ronald Reagan, it is said that it had moved him to contact the the leader of the USSR Mikhail Gorbachov to discuss that each superpower to reduce the number of nuclear warheads each of them had.

Also too, the original cut of the film had a longer running time where it showed more horrors of the damage of these weapons would inflict, but these had to be taken out as it was too graphic for most audiences to handle.

I recently saw the film "Threads", and for its time, it was is a very graphic film for most to watch.

full scale nuke war is a scary thought but a small single diy terrorist nuke is also a serious threat;

all hell to pay

I think that is an interesting expression.

Who is he paying and what exactly is he paying for? :whistling:

And this is why the current kings of the earth won't reach peace and security without Jehovah’s intervention... war pays too much in both power (or perceived power) and money.

Right

it’s Jehovah’s thing to give power to

UN

then peace and security

then BTG is gone

Eph. 3:20 “Now to the one who can, according to his power that is operating in us, do more than superabundantly beyond all the things we ask or conceive”

Exactly. So looking at the global political scene won’t give us any indication about the end. I do however want to look out for opportunities that changes in politics can give us more freedom to preach. I’d like the situation in Middle East to stabilize enough so we can get legal status and reach more people.

I’d rather the end come now and Jehovah give a pass to all those living in lands that don’t hear the good news. 😀

Jer 29:11-“For I well know the thoughts I am thinking toward you, declares Jehovah, thoughts of peace, and not calamity, to give you a future and a hope.”

Psalm 56:3-“When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.”
Romans 8:38-”For I am convinced...”

Remember the circuit won't be completed. So who knows?

This exactly what I think of. We can see this into the last talk on part 1 of the AM. In around 1 hour and 17 minutes into the meeting that the nations will try to solve some problems while giving their power to the UN, yet they will go against false religion.

So I must have misunderstood. For my part, I thought I heard that Jehovah's action consisted of forcing all nations to give power to the UN so that this Organization could solve the problems of humanity, and strengthened by this unexpected support as much as Unexpectedly, the UN will, from that moment on, be able to resolve the fate of BTG. Jehovah would not act directly on the Wild Beast but on the Nations on whom he will impose his thoughts.

Well, I'll have to review my copy then.

That remains to be seen.

Either more drama & less peace.  Or they stop their mess and we may be heading towards P&S.  We shall see....in any case, it doesn't look like it will be "business as usual".

There will be no peace from them. They don't want peace unless forced to by Jehovahs one thought.

What is most interesting is that it will not be necessary to follow meetings of the G1, G7, G8, G20, or BRICS, because, suddenly, Jehovah Himself will prompt the nations to trust and grant power to the UN. Even those that do not actively work with the organization will end up giving it authority.

In light of Brother Jackson's talk at the Annual Meeting..did anyone else notice that 1 Thess. 5:3 was not mentioned? When meditating on that scripture, one thought that came to mind is that BTG will be thrown off the back of the wild beast and destroyed..Would not this be a good time for the nations to say "Peace and Security", seeing as not only are these nations not having to put up with religious influences in politics, but religious wars that jeopardise the security of all governments, would cease. But then what does Gog see? Us active in our work! Of course we know when Gog attacks us it will mean "sudden destruction" for all God's enemies. Just a thought..I hope there will be a GB update or talk with further light on this subject.

Jehovah is "walking upon the wings of the wind" PS. 104:3b
