I think now China decided to stop trade with U.S. altogether. Crazy times.

By the way, this is just something I noticed, not necessarily a fact. It feels like our organization/website does not like to comment about China? Is there a reason or is it just how I feel? I know there is no freedom of religion there, but it just feels like we report on other countries under ban (e.g. Russia) much quicker on world events and related news.

I have friends in that far eastern country (shhhh) and they request not to communicate with them in the language of the truth. They really want to be invisible there and electronic communication is continually scanned for questionable words. The angels are looking after them there. That is also the reason it is not mentioned in the 'NEWS' from JW.org. Don't let anybody know what is going on there. This site could also be scanned. Who knows. 'Loose lips sinks ships' as they used to say in the 40s.

Thanks Percy.
I understand that, but it is still very fascinating to me. We want to protect the friends, and they have tight security with repercussions. However, these are world events and "that country" is a big place with a lot of power. We are politically neutral and it's just interesting we had a lot of news about other wars, current world events but when it came to the start of the pandemic and the trade war happening now, they are not mentioned by name 🤔

It's interesting to communicate with these friends, about how our "Father" and our "Mother" are OK and taking care of us" wink wink !
"We got a new baby, we went to the pool together last spring" wink wink
"I'm working full time now, I'll have a training school this summer" wink wink

Oh boy, it looks like the United States Constitution just became as valuable and as important as a toilet paper in my bathroom Trump's and a El Salvador, president, both said they will defy the United States Supreme Court. We have a major constitutional crisis.

I'm going to get me a big bucket of popcorn cuz I don't want to go and have to make some more anytime soon.

People think the Bible is full of myths and stories. The Constitution?

Hmmmm. Reminds me of this recent statement... We may see long-standing mountain like institutions crumble. The Constitution was long regarded as the supreme law of the land. It's now looking just like any other piece of paper. When laws start to crumble, how soon before governments and other institutions start crumbling?

No matter what, we will still be preaching up to Armageddon.

The US Constitution is a pretty solid legal document, actually.

On the one hand, that has always been the case. The Supreme Court has been ignored in the past. The Supreme Court has reversed itself in the past.

On the other hand, yes.  This system will continue to crumble and that means how people, even governments, view the rule of law will go from bad to worse.

Phillipians 4:8 Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are of serious concern, whatever things are righteous, whatever things are chaste, whatever things are lovable, whatever things are well-spoken-of, whatever things are virtuous, and whatever things are praiseworthy, continue considering these things.

People have said that it's impossible that religion will be banned in the future as it's protected in the Constitution of many countries. Well....

The Constitution has been amended several times. Sometimes one amendment has overturned a previous amendment. All that needs to happen is pass an amendment that overturns freedom of religion.

Or pass laws that blatantly violate the Constitution that go unchallenged.

I'm leaning toward an amendment.

I'm leaning towards a UN amendment that applies to all nations.

Well, right now the Constitution does not allow for turning power over to the UN, so, perhaps, such a US amendment giving the UN authority would happen first.

I'm certainly no political expert, so my simple mind is imagining all the Nations signing some contract to give power to the UN and then later the UN passes a law against religion. Whatever law the UN passes would automatically supersede the Nation's laws (like the ECHR), so there would be no need to pass local laws. Since they would agree with the mandate, there would be no issue of them trying to argue that their laws take precedence.

Or simply when Rev 17:17 happens all nations sign agreement that their individual constitutions do not take precedence over UN as a 8th King. Something fast that overrides individual constitutions may happen. Seems impossible? Well it's a "thought" from Jehovah overall.. so anything is possible. Anything.. even bordering on "miraculous" results.

Man was created as an intelligent creature with the desire to explore and understand :)
