It's tough because we aren't used to such heat so we don't have AC units in our houses and apartments... 🥵

Oh yes, we only exist in our extreme heat in Australia because we all have ACs.  We dare not leave the house between 10 and 4.  As it is, we have very high instances of skin cancer.  But, living in more temperate climates and then having heatwaves, boy, I feel sorry for you guys.

 

Slip slop slap, as they say here in Oz.  Slip on a shirt, slop on sunscreen and slap on a hat.  And drink, drink, drink plenty of water!

Heatwaves will get worst, next El Niño expected to be really bad, hitting possibly 1.5C - 1.6C. People are in for shock.

 

We are going into year 3 for La Niña in 2023, we never had 4 years in a row of La Niña, perhaps that record will be broken.

 

Projected to have even worst wild fires in Australia when the next El Nino event arrives.

Yes, all that rain has made the forests green with undergrowth.  They try to do prescribed burns, but I doubt they'll get to do much with all the rain still falling in the East of Australia.  Interestingly, the indigineous Aboriginals were doing cool burns to manage the bush undergrowth and control bad fire seasons.  Maybe much could be learned how to manage forests from the original inhabitants?  In any case, it's probably tipped too far anyway.  Yes, I agree.  Bushfire season is going to be horrible.
