Interesting... Time is getting short to make disciples! We must help all we can.

Eph. 3:20 “Now to the one who can, according to his power that is operating in us, do more than superabundantly beyond all the things we ask or conceive”

Because they followed the old Bible Teach book, I guess.

Maybe the results were not very positive. After all, you can't study make progress on your own.

But why remove it ?

Its existence doesn't prevent someone from studying with the Enjoy book

I understand this, but how does its existence prevent you from requesting a bible study ? I don't understand why it was removed

Because the "Enjoy Life Forever" book is available in many more languages than the online study course and the Slave wants us to study with people in person, using the latest tools.  Of course people may request a Bible Study... that's how they will get one. :)

There could be a practical reasons for it as well. The online bible lessons used quite a lot of browser scripts and other advanced programming code stuff in order to ensure make it work well. Continuing to maintaining it works well can be time consuming and just annoying in general, especially considering the reasons above. We would prefer that people to study with us live.

The slave may also have considered how much the online study session has performed well in the last few years, since the appropriate brothers have access to the datas such as how many people have viewed the session and completed them, and they may have believed it was not performing well. Therefore, again, studying is better done live.

I've also read here that a JW Broadcasting episode has been removed so I don't understand what is happening

Perhaps some outdated explanation that could cause confusion among people (?).

It reminds me of Isaiah 60:17.

"Instead of the copper I will bring in gold, And instead of the iron I will bring in silver, Instead of the wood, copper, And instead of the stones, iron..."

The thing I don't really get is that it was available in some languages that are spoken in many countries under ban. For example, it was released in Chinese and Arabic.
It made sense, because over there, it is hard to request an in person study.
Maybe the slave has more confidence in the new book when it comes to individuals who study it by themselves? Idk..
But I do know that the FDS has a good reason for it

But there are many Chinese and Arab people all over the world, not just in China and the Middle East.

Exactly. And the thing to remember about this prophecy is that the replacement of the materials is not from bad to good, but from good to even better. There was nothing wrong with the copper, the irons, or the stone, but gold is better. It’s an improvement. You don’t hang on to the stones when the gold is doing an even better job.

Likewise, there was nothing wrong with the online Bible study lessons. But our interactive Bible course is much better. Why hold on to something when the same job is being accomplished even better by something new?

  • 3 weeks later...

Another reason: simplicity

General public doesn’t distinguish online Bible course from interactive Bible course. Having both could lead to confusion (and/or bad SEO). Now, I guess, someone trying to look for online Bible lessons will be directed to out interactive course and online form.

And who knows, maybe in the future we will provide online interactive Bible courses (on Zoom)? 😃

🙏 Thank you! 🙏
