Br. Blake, even the December 2022 update did not update the picture.  Maybe they are waiting for a new picture with Brs. Winder and  Fleegle in it?

The problem is that it would also require them to get all the Governing Body together, in the same room, at the same time, in order to take the photo.

 

As previously discussed..... Guy Pierce finished his earthly life on 18 March 2014.... yet the Governing Body Group photo used in the February 2017 Watchtower evidently simply photoshopped Guy Pierce out of the picture??

 

(Of course, it is also possible they did a series of photos, and mixed it up, with different GB members 'missing' so the photoshot could be used even if one of them finished their earthly life, but that means Brothers Herd, Sanderson, Splane, Morris and Lett kept their pose extremely well, while Brothers Losch and Jackson changed theirs   🤷‍♂️ )

I would also add that a 'shadow' version of the original (?) 2014 photo - showing eight members was used in a 2021 Watchtower.... of course numerically at that time, that was correct - Bro Cook was appointed in 2018 - but it is the shadow of Bro Pierce is shown, rather that Bro Cook 😮
