China is currently grappling with massive damage to infrastructure, housing, and the economy due to more intense weather phenomena, as well as an earthquake today. In the news report, it said the authorities expect floods at this time of year, but not to this extent, and not in the area they hit - the northern agricultural growing area. So, they were really not prepared for this huge hit on their agricultural base.

So:

  • unprecedented floods ruining agricultural land
  • earthquake
  • also heatwave and drought currently in other parts of the country, which is affecting crops.
  • and a sluggish economic return after the pandemic, meaning that consumers may not be able to afford imported food.

”China's direct economic losses from natural disasters surged to 41.18 billion yuan ($8.72billion) in July, more than in January to June combined.” More of that to come as they are expecting more heatwaves and severe flooding.

It makes me wonder about the struggles that are being compounded by more and more frequent disasters. Will China be able to continue supporting the KoN? 🤔 ….”and there will be no helper for him.” Dan 11:45

Beijing's latest move (decision to participate in peace talks- Saudi Arabia) on the global diplomatic stage comes as President Xi Jinping grapples with a host of internal issues, including the unexplained replacement last month of Qin Gang as foreign minister, the abrupt replacement of the top brass at the People's Liberation Army Rocket Force and deepening woes for the world's second-biggest economy.(Reuters)

War in Ukraine is impacting everything right now.

For years, Beijing resident Gao enjoyed a big apartment in the city's scenic west and a Class-E Mercedes Benz.

But he lost it all this week.

The result of the most extreme rainfall to hit the Chinese capital in 140 years.

Raging water, caused by storms that followed Typhoon Doksuri, destroyed his ground-floor apartment and washed away his car.

His front window is now blockaded by tree trunks. Water came up to 12 inches shy of the ceiling.

Daydream -

Scientists have discovered that daydreaming is an important tool for creativity. It causes a rush of activity in a circuit, which connects different parts of the brain and allows the mind to make new associations.

Thank you @hatcheckgirl for your article. Well put together.

Yes you are right the KoN is fractured. Russia and its allies are not a united bond of warriors. They each have their own agenda. They could implode the way things are heading if it went on for a number of years.

We are just waiting to see what Jehovah does about these things and how he allows it to unfold before he puts hooks in their jaws and leads them his way and to their own distraction.

Thanks again @hatcheckgirl for helping me to join in.

Hebrews 10:25 …. encouraging one another...even more as you see the day drawing near.
