This reminds me of an old joke. A snail was traveling along a city sidewalk when a gang of slugs attacked it. Later when a policeman was on scene, he asked the snail to describe what happened. The snail replied, " I can't really say, it all happened to fast".

That's because the slugs weren't hindered by carrying shell that weren't indentifiable and able to get a quick escape.
