Say goodbye to the Moon in advance. It's moving away from Earth at a rate of 3.8 centimeters per year.

The Moon is moving away from Earth at a rate of 3.8 centimeters per year...

Which means in 1 billion years from now, its distance from Earth will be reduced 10% and we'll lose all the positive effects of Moon being near us.

It's my serious concern nowadays.

I will worry about this 1,000,000,001 years later.

Put on platform shoes and you'll be ok for a year.

Interesting...There is another theory thought of by men about the heat death of the universe. Not to worry though,  it will take place in  1.7 x 10 ^106 years.

The one showing favor to the lowly is lending to Jehovah

Will be a update. Earth V3 Update 9.3 "The earth is now no longer affected by the positive effects of the moon."

in 100 million years from now, we are going to develop incredibly long and strong rope, throw it over moon, and bring it back like a cowboy does .... :lol1:

Asteroids often travel between the Earth and the Moon.  A large asteroid traveling inside the Moon's orbit would create a gravitational effect between the Moon and the asteroid.  This might slow down or stop the movement of the Moon away from the Earth.

If the moon is moving away from us right now, it's probably part of a larger cycle we don't yet understand.

Religions get a lot of flack for predicting the end of the world, but the amount of times "science" has predicted our "imminent" demise is truly astonishing: asteroids, sun burning out, galaxies colliding, and now the moon is trying to ditch us. I wouldn't give this even two seconds of thought; Jehovah hasn't spent the last 6000 years of human history maneuvering things perfectly just to let us "die in the wilderness" because He couldn't figure out how to keep the moon in line. We'll be fine.

I would like to go to the Apollo 11 landing site, put a couple more rocks under the laser reflector every hour, and wait for the scientists to panic. 😁

The conclusion of the matter, everything having been heard, is: Fear the true God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole obligation of man. Ec 12:13
