For about a week, I’ve been experiencing an issue with Personal Study Notes in the JW Library app on both my iPad and iPhone. I’ve attached identical screenshots from my iPhone and MacBook for comparison. On the larger MacBook screenshot, the full text is visible within the active window. However, on the iPhone screenshot (same issue on iPad), I’m only able to scroll within a small window, with the rest of the screen remaining blank where text should appear. I’ve tried various troubleshooting steps, including removing the app, performing a factory reset, and restoring the device. Initially, I suspected it might be due to the iOS 18.0 update, but after checking with a brother who also updated to iOS 18.0, he doesn’t seem to have the issue. Also, notes created on the iPad display and scroll normally when viewed on the MacBook. This problem affects all notes, whether historical, current, or new.

As you can imagine, this is frustrating, especially during meetings when trying to take notes on the iPad, with the notes section nearly unusable. I’m wondering if anyone else has encountered this issue? Will appreciate any suggestions to help identify the cause and a possible solution.

It’s not you. It happening to all of us. When clicking on the note from inside the publication it appears fine, it’s only when first clicking on “Personal Study” and then the individual note does it appear cramped. I think it’s not a common way to access notes (most people go to the publication first I think) and maybe that’s why the bug hasn’t been squashed. 😉

Thank you kindly for the reply, I was not aware others experienced similar. However, in my case at least this was not happening previously. The example I attached happens to be linked to a publication, however, many of my notes are created directly from the “Personal Study” section (not linked to a publication). I use Notes extensively, and this is behavior that did not occur before.

Very happy to report that today's App update fixes the issue! Personal Study Notes are now functioning as before. Thank you so much to the brothers who work tirelessly to manage the App and Jehovah for providing this invaluable study tool. image.thumb.png.270b8c55cde30abe582342658edc6dfa.png
