I will get all the energy & wakefulness I need from my new Vitamin B supplement.

Around 6 months ago as I had been feeling quite unwell and light headed I went to the Dr thinking one of my supplements was reacting with my prescription medication.  Turns out I had Vitamin B overload.  My level should have been 80-120 and it was 800.  Just saying……😜

Video:  "These Words...Must Be on Your Heart" after about 58 minutes.  They liked their coffee.

I have an interesting history with drinking coffee, my parents did not allow children to drink coffee at a young age.  (I also did not like cheese very much, so I rarely ate it.

When I turned 12 years old my cousin and I used to walk to ball games at the school.  We would buy a cheeseburger and a shake at Dairy Queen on the way.  I started having migraine headaches at 12 years old.  After a while I realized that eating cheese a couple of days in a row seemed to be connected to my migraine headaches.  I could eat cheese occasionally with no problem.

When I was 16 years old, I had a know-it-all principal in high school.   I normally had migraine headaches after school hours, but on this day, I had the beginnings of a migraine headache at about 2 PM.  When I went to the office to check out the principal said I was too young to have migraine headaches, I told him I have had them since I was 12, so I don't guess I am too young now.  Although I had driven to school the principal said I could not drive home, and I had to call my parents.  He obviously believed that I was not really sick.  A few minutes later I ran from the office but could not make it to the restroom and made a real mess in the hall.  Nausea was a big part of the migraine spells.  I think the know-it-all principal finally realized that I was actually sick.

A few years later when I started working, I started drinking coffee regularly and started having migraine headaches again.  I quickly realized that the coffee was causing the migraines.  But I never completely quit coffee, just cut down on it.  (There are other causes of migraine headaches that I was unaware of at the time.)

I did switch to decaffeinated coffee when I was doing the Atkins diet in the 1990's.  Drinking any caffeinated beverages interfered with weight loss on that diet.  I did fine on decaffeinated coffee.  Most cheeses were allowed on the Atkins diet, but I don't remember having any migraines during the time I was on the diet.

When I was 35, I stopped having migraines or so I thought.  I would occasionally have some blurred vision and 15 minutes after the blurred vision was gone I would have a slight headache, with nausea but no vomiting.

Last year I had dizziness, nausea, and a burning sensation on my lip.  When I called the doctor, he told me to go straight to the ER.  By the time I got to the ER the symptoms were gone.  A month later I had the exact same symptoms.  They wanted me to stay overnight.  Late on the second day, I had a video conference with a neurologist.  He mentioned migraines and said that sometimes that migraines symptoms could change over time and that they could mimic the symptoms of a stroke.  I was surprised that he mentioned migraines because I thought my migraines had stopped about 40 years earlier and I had not mentioned them to any doctor for 40 years.

Long story short (too late?), Caffeine and Tyramine in aged cheese are both Baso-reactants.  Tyramine also comes from eating peanut butter, which I was unaware of.

Anyway, I have had to rethink drinking coffee.  I agree with the original poster that coffee can be bad for you.  It has caused me a lot of trouble in my life.  I really should stop it, but I have also been told that a sudden change in caffeine intake can also cause migraines.  The best thing is to gradually reduce my coffee intake

Have you tried Matcha tea in the morning? I was drinking that for a long time, and it had just enough caffeine to get me started without the side effects. I would mix a teaspoon of matcha powder with protein powder and hot water.

Hadn't heard of that personally, but will research.   Even a little caffeine helps me personally, it seriously makes a difference.   Thanks Richard.

If you make it yourself, it's super affordable.  And if you work at a company, you generally are provided coffee for free.

Or companies provide it reasonably cheap in their break rooms.   Hmmm, now why would companies provide coffee for free or cheap?   Any returns on investment perhaps? 🧐

Actually, I mix half a teaspoon of Matcha powder, not a full teaspoon.
