Adolf Hitler's rise to power

Recommended Posts

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adolf_Hitler's_rise_to_power

Many years ago, I visited the Holocaust Museum, it had a timeline of Hitlers rise to power. At the time I thought that Hitler was just being used as a face for the people behind him, however this article explains what Hitler did to become Chancellor and what he did afterwards. Fascinating history.

Yep. These should be interesting days. For years, every time a new leader came in, in this country, i wondered how they would handle Armageddon.
Jehovah does not take to arrogance. And he does things with class.
Time will tell.
In the meantime, i just try to astetuly avoid the details.
And pray for Jehovah to help me remain neutral.

In the meantime, these things, “must take place”.

We read that book in high school for my English class. One of my teachers served in the war during Hitler's times

How is a wiki article or a past vacation News or Current Events?

Phillipians 4:8 Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are of serious concern, whatever things are righteous, whatever things are chaste, whatever things are lovable, whatever things are well-spoken-of, whatever things are virtuous, and whatever things are praiseworthy, continue considering these things.

True. It's a good reminder that no matter how bad the future looks, we know how it will turn out.

Notice that these events came about after a war (WWII), pestilence (Spanish Flu), and economic depression (1923 Hyperinflation crisis, along with The Great Depression).

Many in Germany were still bitter about having lost WWI, then they had to deal with hyperinflation in 1923. Things settled down for a while, then the Depression struck.

The Germans looked for scapegoats to blame their suffering, and Hitler was a master at stoking their fear and hatred through his speeches. People were ripe for his rhetoric, including certain politicians and military officials willing to take his side, and by means of these he was able to come to power.

He intended for the Third Reich to last 1,000 years, but it only lasted about 12. It shows that no human endeavors, regardless of how mighty, ever last forever. And the end for all these rulers are all the same.

Key Scripture: Ecclesiastes 8:10

And I saw the wicked being buried, those who used to go in and out of the holy place, but they were soon forgotten in the city where they acted that way. This too is futility.”

Here is an interesting article from the 70s that talks more about the matter in detail:

Exactly. Even if history appears to be repeating itself, we know how it will turn out.

Will be interesting if the new system fixes facts about history or we just erase.it and focus on the kingdom.

I wanted to read year books if the brothers had those in the 40.s

I don't think we can afford to erase anything, at least until all of the people from those timelines have been resurrected and dedicated themselves to Jehovah.

Erase the lies by not telling them anymore.

EDIT: It would be possible to remember that someone lied without retelling the lies.

It is very difficult to find honest books referencing a nations history. If they are written for the nation, and by a national, they usually gloss over the infringements of legal, natural and spiritual freedoms, to justify the course of action taken. Ask any conscientious objector during a time of national crisis.

If these histories are written by someone from another, especially opposing, nation, they will gloss over any legal, natural or spiritual freedoms that were maintained by the other nation, whilst lambasting them for every infringement that is deemed to ruffle their 'feathers'.

In truth, the only history book that we can trust, completely, is God's holy word, the bible.

Well, pretty much everyone from all those historical moments will be alive, so I think it's pretty clear that we will get first-hand accounts from all those events.

We can't even agree on what's happening in our own countries right now, let alone years ago. Just ask someone if any recent elections were "fortified". I hope we'll be able to get certain things verified from the heavens once and for all.

Yes. There is divine direction to consider.

In addition, we will have (nearly) all the players from history that can tell us exactly what happened and when.

The problem today is politics and Satan's system. The politicians and government authorities want to keep their secrets. They want to exert their power and exercise their sovereignty. To that end they lie, spin, and deceive the public as well as the other nations. Truth cannot be found.

In the new system that situation will no longer exist. All the players through history will have died. Their governments and nations crumbled to dust. Satan will be bound. When everyone is resurrected they will no longer be influenced by the pressures and machinations that shaped their times. There will be no need, no reason to keep secret what really happened in those previous historical moments.

The question is, will we care?

Will we care? I think that's a great question

I've noticed that Jehovah's had history written down. It seems he cares about history. I am reminded about a verse where we're told we'll never learn everything there is to learn about Jehovah. I always imagined that included His past/ history. I think it would be fascinating to see all the ways that Jehovah has been involved in our history, but maybe others won't care.

Another thought about will we care - usually when you meet someone new after learning their name you ask about their history. Where are you from? Who's your family? How'd you get here? How'd you become a witness? (This reminds me of the book by I think. EK Jonathan, where in the new world a brother is traveling around and asking people about their stories and recording them. Each story makes more sense when you know the history surrounding that person / time period.), Etc often you don't really know someone until you know their background and history. It'll be interesting to get to know everyone on the planet. I think that's going to require knowing a lot about history, yes?

And just for a Bible verse - there's Revelation 19:3. This talks about how the smoke from Babylon the great will ascend forever. We will always know the history of Babylon the great and her final judgment. It'll be there to prevent a repeat of that craziness.

This may be true, yet thousands of  Catholics who oppose Hitler died during the holocaust. Especially in Poland.

Someday we will find out what the US has been doing @ Area 51. They won’t be able to stop us then!
