The Governing Body decided that starting January 1, 2026, brothers 80 years of age or older will no longer serve as members of a Branch Committee.

However, these dear brothers will serve as consultants to the Branch Committee.

Helpers never served on the GB so their role wouldn't quite be the same as a consultant

That announcement applied to branch committee members, not the governing body.

Yes, and I think at least three current GB members are over 80, and there has been no website announcements.

I think you may have missed it but it was a guess- in answer to the posters question: What new announcements or changes might be included?

 

I really don't think anyone is trying to start a rumor.
