GNJ is 18 episodes - does that mean 5-6 more years?

Are these episodes going to be just a couple per year, shown at every convention, for the next 6 years (or 13 years if we include Acts of Apostles at 15 episodes)

 

is there a chance the production might speed up, or is this just literally the fasted our organization can get them done?

Different characters, different stories. You can probably film them around each other.

 

My thing is: What happens at the end of the Gospels?

 

Jesus death is almost his defining moment, and it's brutal to watch. They're putting out advisories about the scenes with demon possessed people, and they got complaints about the 'fall of Jerusalem' being too graphic.

 

It's possible they won't show the 'impalement' episodes at the convention.

We got one episode the first year, then two episodes, and now three episodes in a single year. We have heard that episode 8 (and maybe 9) are well underway and nearing completion. So we might expect three video sections next year as well.  If that was true, we would be halfway through the series in four years.  If the kept up three per year, we could possibly finish in another three years after next.

 

Starting in 2024, the total of 7 years would take us to2030.  Originally the project was to be completed by 2029.  So maybe it will.

What if they do 1 episode per Assembly and 3 for the summer convention? We could get 5 episodes a year

I can look it up, but it was in the Broadcast when the outlined the scope of the work and told us it was going to be 18 episodes.  I do not have the tim to give you the link right away.  If no one else comes up with the reference, I will look it up this weekend.

I have to say, it wont hurt my feelings. When this is discussed to any depth, i start with the tears. 

But, whatever. We can trust jehovahʼs organization to handle it in the best way possible. 
We still have to somehow suffer through John the Baptist, and his untimely end. 
i canʼt fathom it. We know Jesus was and is real, but, he is so much more real, now. 
Somehow, we shall. 
But with what we have been given so far, i know it will be handled in the most discreet way possible. 
Jehovah will not give us more then we can bear. This I know. 
(Now we can read the gospels, and really picture whaŕt we are reading.)

I took a brief moment to do a basic search also.  The original announcement in the 2020 Annual Meeting did not state any particular time frame.  The annual meeting segment is on our video presentation (JW.ORG).  I have two updates that did not contain any times either but I am listing them because I do not want to lose them.  I will continue the search at your request but it will take time.  I have already searched through all of 2019 videos and publications before I discovered it started in 2020.

 

There are a lot of publications and videos to look through (could even be letters to the elders).  If this is not really important to you, I will stop.

If they are all 1 hour videos, I suspect we will only get 2 per year. We got 3 this year but Episode 5 is only about 30 minutes.  I only hope that I will see them all in my lifetime and that's going to take some doing.

The first six episodes have a running time of about 230 minutes. That averages about 35-40 minutes each.  It is about 1/4 of the "about 1000 minutes" that the GB said the videos would cover.  The prep work...set/scene building, script writing, storyboards, interviews, props, costumes and so on, took 3 years. The initial years were 'Covid-years'.  Now that we are up and running, we have turned out 6 finished videos in the next 3 years and it looks like that includes 1 or 2 unfinished ones.

If you go back to the 2022 beginning of the Special thread on the announcement of our beginning of filming in Australia, Br Tony (from Australia) said in Mary 2022...

2022 = 7 1/2 years is 2029.

Can someone please let us know if they release a trailer of the eps for the 2027 Convention this weekend, and tell us how many eps will be shown next year?

 

My guess is we will have 2 Ep's at the 2027 Convention.
