Go to the bottom of the page and click on global communications on our website then scroll down you'll see it, midpoint the page.

I may be tired and in pain :wheelchair: but I'll never   :surrender: to it just send some encouraging words or hugs  :kisscheek:  :encourage:  and I'll return the same   :kisscheek:  :encourage:

he slave might use social media to declare that the great tribulation is about to begin.

I hope not, because if something doesnt happen SOON afterwards, we would be ridiculed as fluff. Not only that, but even though it's the GT, people would translate it as we're saying that Jesus is coming back (in christendom, the great tribulation happens AFTER the rapture of ALL Christians), and will start calling us hypocrites/doomsayers for preaching the end of the world....(A good example is Rapturetok last year). I think IF they want to announce the GT is about to begin, that should be kept and sent to congregations so elders can relay the message to people in the halls.

This is very true. I recall from my background in Christendom that thr great tribulation happens after all the faithful have been raptured. However our Study of the Bible and the publications of the Slave helps us understand that the great tribulation will begin and will be well under way before the anointed remnant are taken to heaven.

I think we all agree that they would only announce the start of the GT if they were sure - whether in an update to Witnesses or a public announcement. That's why I think they might release a quick article after the UN gets power that details what the GT looks like from start to finish.

They wouldn't say in the article that the GT had begun because we would still be waiting for the destruction of false religion. Thus, there would be no need for a retraction because they wouldn't have made the claim that it had begun. No claim = no retraction.

Later on, when BtG is destroyed they can make one final announcement: THE GREAT TRIBULATION HAS BEGUN and refer people to the previous article.

I hope they announce it to Witnesses first - it feels appropriate. I'm going to cry at that update. 😭

I get where you’re coming from, but I don't see it that way at all. I'm not saying the slave will do this, but if they choose to, I think it could turn out very positive. I think a great opportunity could be missed if it's not announced. Could we be ridiculed if it doesn't happen soon afterward? Most likely. But think about how many people will have heard about the destruction of false religion before it began, and will be in a position to act accordingly.

Also, after hearing an explanation of Revelation 17:17, and seeing how all the nations have given their power to the UN, which may already seem supernatural to some, some may put some faith in Jehovah’s word before the destruction.

Lately, I have been thinking about how cunning satan is with this rapture teaching. It's obvious demons inspired it when you read how scholars and historians trace its origins to a series of visions by a 15-year-old girl. But what's so cunning about it is that, as you said, those who believe in it will conclude that the tribulation hasn't started because they are still on earth. But if they want to believe teachings inspired by demons, that's on them. All we can do is preach the truth. People who react that way usually aren't honest-hearted anyway. I think about 2 Thessalonians 2:10-12, where it says that Jehovah allows “a deceptive influence to mislead them so that they may come to believe the lie.” We have no control over how people react. What's more important is getting the warning out to honest-hearted people so that they can have an opportunity to act accordingly.

Even if the slave didn't publicly announce it to the world via social media or our website, but announced it to the congregations, would we not, in turn, be told to warn those not yet serving Jehovah? So we’d be ridiculed either way. At that pivotal time in history, I don't see us not being on fire and warning as many as we can. We can't tailor such an important message around false religious beliefs and people's sensibilities. Ridicule is inevitable. We just have to be courageous, yet discreet, and respectful.
