Problem Installing Wt Library On Windows 8

Is anyone having problems installing the new WT Library onto their Windows 8 computer? I installed my husbands on his Windows 7 and had no problems, but my mom and I both have the Windows 8 and cannot get it to work...any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

My wife has a new laptop with windows 8 and the WTL installed OK. Does it try and install? In your "run" window did you try run\E\wtlibrary.exe ? On a side note... her and I both HATE windows 8. Windows 7 was the best.

Thank you for the help. I was able to get it installed on my mom's computer. She said she was able to install it, but it was not working properly. It is working now. Mine, on the other hand, is not recognizing the disc. I went to the device manager and it is saying that the dvd rom driver is incompatible. I guess I will have to check on the Toshiba site to see if there are any updates.

Actually, I like the windows 8. I am glad that I did not install it on my husband's computer, though. He has the exact same model of Toshiba that I have. I was concerned that it would not be compatible with the secretary program and other Theoshare programs he uses. It would have been worse had he not had his library for research!!

Does the DVD drive show when you go to my computer?

If it does try loading the device manager and uninstall your DVD drive, then restart your computer and windows should reinstall the best driver.

Windows 8 actually seems pretty good, and if you really feel that strongly about it, there are free programs you can download to make it look like windows 7.

I bought a MacBook Pro and I'm gonna sell it because I cannot install the WT Library on it! Therefore I have no need got it!

wouldn't the iSilo program work on the Mac Pro to allow the WT Library to be viewed?
