  1. Exactly. I'm just looking at what this means timeline wise and the king of the north. But be interested to see how it unfolds.
  2. https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2017/jul/28/trump-brexit-end-of-west This article caught my eye by the title alone. It's true or seems Russia and China seem like the next rising superpowers in bed together. (I wasn't sure if I should put this in alt due to how it may line up to Daniel or not)

  4. @GeordieGirl I can't imagine regular 40+ temps. Is it humid temps? Or dry heat in WA? You guys living in the cold snaps much respect. I don't do cold well. @Brother Jack yeah I know the feel. Last winter we had storms which is unusual because it's usually in summer we have them. And didn't even have to put a jumper on. It meant this season we had an explosion of flies and weeds that didn't die off in Winter Climate change really does cause these erratic weather conditions.
  5. So this summer so far (down under) we've had 5 heatwaves! You heard it. It's unusual considering that its only 6weeks into summer. http://www.smh.com.au/environment/weather/highly-significant-heatwave-smashes-australian-records-20140106-30dx5.html I was wondering if others in other countries are experiencing weather extremes.
  6. This disgusts me. I feel for those in Russia - to have their place of safety raided like that.
  7. He believes there won't be a human on this planet in 10years and he talks about it like he is giving us a generous timeline. But then he poo poos on hope and imagines it's not compatible with being realistic. I had an interesting discussion with my atheist husband who thinks hope is a useless emotion/ideal - I asked him, well if you had a cancer diagnosed with an 80% terminal rate, what use it hope, may as well curl up and die. No, you do all you can and think positive. He agreed. So hope is something we naturally move to. I mean, the evidence for global warming is there, and he calls it depressing and doesn't think about it. but HOPE is an active ideal/emotion - it puts your trust in something and thankfully we have hope that Jehovah will handle it. We do what we can, but leave what we can't up to Jehovah. I know man can't predict the time Jehovah will act, but if it's less than 10 years I can't wait. I want this world to be clean from all this pollution, physical, societal and spiritual.
  8. That is a wonderful song - it's hard to find commercial Christian-ish songs that don't confuse Jesus and God. I wonder why so many people are now using Jehovah's name. It never used to be used commonly, in fact it was usually fought against. Now it's accepted as God's name. I like Giants Fall by Francesca Battelisti - that only uses God
  9. Yeah Ross, I felt the same way - give Leo our tracts!!! LOL I am so saddened that people are so blind and yet also humbled by Jehovah's foresight that he EVEN put that reference in the bible - He will ruin those ruining the earth. As frustrated as the scientist feel imagine how Jehovah feels. He made the earth with it's ecosystem and symbiotic way if functions and we just made a mess of it. I look forward to knowing how to properly take care of our planet.
  10. ‘Mortal sin’ to vote Democratic, says San Diego Catholic church, linking Hillary Clinton to Satan http://flip.it/bR7i6O
  11. It's very much the randomness of such an attack - there ceases to be a HINT of a reason (reasoning by worldly people) for someone to do such horrible things nowadays. I can't wait for this world to be over and the new system come in. I keep thinking about Noah and just wonder, how much worse - just as his day?? It certainly feels like people just think bad (of some sort) all the time. I actually spoke to a guy in our cong who is a bus driver and he actually knew the driver (just friendly - not close). I hope he can give a witness to all those bus drivers affected.
  12. This random attack took place in my city, Brisbane in Marooka - its a very quiet place and the poor bus driver was doused by fuel by a passenger coming onto the bus and then set alight before other passengers. http://www.msn.com/en-au/news/australia/passenger-sets-bus-driver-alight-in-brisbane-police-say/ar-AAjuAPz?li=AAgfYrC&ocid=spartandhp
  13. http://flip.it/0Zx_Z_ China's governing Communist Party is set to launch a nationwide crackdown on Christianity. Correspondent Matthew Carney travels through the country and speaks to churchgoers who are worried they could soon be arrested. The Communist Party has just enacted much tougher laws that criminalise Christians if they do not pledge loyalty to the state.
  14. The death of the ocean - documentary about the importance of the ocean. I saw the end of this, and it's quite confronting what is happening to those poor animals on the ocean. I knew, but then this is even more so.
