  1. In my hall, brothers doing mics, A/V, attendants, zoom attendant… etc. can do so with no tie or jacket. Unless you will be on the stage, no jacket or tie is required. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Sis, I wore almost these exact slacks to the meeting Tuesday night with a nice black blouse. I got many compliments. I agree with you. It’s all in how you style it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Not sure if this should go in this thread so feel free to change. But a friend of ours serves in Walkill and Saturday he called and said that Bethel is back on lockdown. Also, my husband and I were scheduled to be on our first LDC project since Covid beginning tomorrow and the project got canceled last night. Has anyone else heard about this or knows any news on LDC projects being postponed? Also wondering if this will delay Ramapo Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. This is the same situation we are in. We want to simplify and sale our home because we could get a good chunk right now for it. But.... our plan to build can’t happen because of the building materials. We wanted to build a barndominium but don’t see that happening anytime soon. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I’m from Alabama, and the governor just ended the mask mandate April 9. It’s sad because now I’m sure the numbers will spike again. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I am from Alabama and I can confirm this! I would say 8 out of 10 ppl do not wear a mask in my area. It’s so disheartening. My husband is self employed and when he has to go to customers houses most tell him he doesn’t have to wear his mask. To which he tells them he will in fact always wear his mask for his protection and theirs as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I hope you are right, but how great it would be if going into the great tribulation, my family could be living a very simple life and be able to help as many as possible to find Jehovah before it begins. The watchtower today is such a timely reminder Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. This subject is something my husband and I struggle with. We want to simplify. But we get so overwhelmed with getting rid of “stuff” and just don’t know where to start! We’ve been married for almost 22 years and have accumulated stuff. We were young and got in debt. Now, our debt is manageable, but we would love to simplify so that we can travel. Need great or LDC/DRC. We could sell our home and pay everything off and be pretty much debt free. It sounds like a no brainer .... it’s just so hard to get things gone. We aren’t hoarders and I’m not too sentimental. But at the same time, I hate to just throw stuff away that could be used by someone. My children are 19 and 16 so we would love to just sell this house and build a small house. My daughter wants to be a need greater and my son would love to have the privilege of Bethel service or traveling with LDC when he’s old enough. So, if this pandemic subsided and things are able to be “Normal” again, we want to be ready to be used where Jehovah needs us. Not meaning to ramble, just venting my frustration I guess. 9. I’m from Alabama and I have not heard about nurse Tiffany. Off to google I go... [emoji6] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. LOL no need to apologize. That’s good compared to some peoples way to say it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Thank you very much. I have finally after 41 yrs come to actually not mind my name. I don’t get confused with other people that’s for sure LOL Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I always hated the first day of school growing up because no one ever knew how to pronounce my name. As an adult, nothing much has changed. I still have to correct but sometimes I just give up and answer to whatever crazy way they decide to say it And I’m from Alabama, so I usually only get that far before someone stops me to tell me how “country” my accent is or to ask if I’m faking my accent *eye roll* For anyone trying to pronounce my name right now while reading this, it’s Lu-shay LOL )) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Here in Alabama, in my small town, they are running out of beds in the hospitals so Covid patients are being med flighted to other hospitals. Some over 2 hrs away. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. My daughter sent me this. I’m not sure how to share links. But she said Labron James shared something on Twitter talking about God’s Kingdom. I have a pic but no link. Can someone find the link or walk me through how to do it? I just thought it was very interesting considering our campaign last month. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Just saw that it’s 7 mph away from being a cat 5! A couple of years ago my husband and I went to Beaumont TX for DRC and it was heart breaking to see what the friends went through. And now it’s going to be bad for them again [emoji22] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
