But Jehovah knows this, sees this, hears this and will take care of it in his due time. Yes, it hurts us deeply, not just for the friends but for everyone in that country. But can we imagine just how much it's hurting Jehovah since he sees it all? After all, he has feelings too.

This is nothing new to us, we know how Jehovah feels about the suffering that His creation feels. Recall how Jesus felt just before resurrecting Lazarus? He is the perfect mirror of Jehovah and what emotions that he felt at the tomb of his friend are exactly how Jehovah felt then, and now, at these injustices. ..

(sorry Luezette,  that sounds kinda bad after I proofread it, I don't mean it in a bad way...love ya Sis..)

Thank you Linda for you kindness.

I just came from a shepherding visit to a sister in a hospital, she is in critical condition. She has been suffering for years of cardiomegaly but because of the lack of medicines she skipped her treatment for a month, she was shy to ask for help to the elders, and her condition complicated, the doctors expect the worse. This really got me deeply as this is the first case touching one in our congregation. Please add her daughter (also our sister) in your prayers , sister Ivaray , that Jehovah gives her strength and comfort. She is alone dealing with her sick mother, she`s been suffering from depression and her mother was always there for her, his father was expelled one year ago.

Dear Bro. Antonio, how are these two dear sisters now?

This quote if from yesterday, I hope that the majority in here that live in USA saw the annual meeting.  One of the brothers mentioned that in Venezuela, 47 of our brothers/sisters were killed and others (perhaps sisters) raped by the evil socialist government and others against Jehovah's people.  They are not just starving but have to deal with life and death situations too.  The entire worldwide brotherhood is in our prayers, including all those oppressed by evil ones.

Thank you all friends for your kind words.

Situation here defies comprehension, while politicians are fighting each other for public office some people (including children) are eating from the garbage on the street.

Sorry seems insincere in regards to y'all situation, sickness inside and discuss is what I feel along with my aching heavy  heart over your circumstances. I/we do have praying for you all as our comfort, knowing that is all we are allowed to do in this case, we know Jehovah is yearning to make it all better and he will.  The GB and all of us pray for your endurance, even  those who have endured into Jehovah's memory  (just can't say it). Y'all are not forgotten, you were part of the AM program as we were updated on your spiritual activities dispite all you are enduring.  Keep the faith dear Bro.s and Sis.s, we love, love, love you  and will never stop praying for you all. :cry::crush: :encourage:

Dear Sister Linda.

Sadly the sister passed away 2 days after that post, she couldn`t recover from the time she spent without treatment. After that, her daugther conduct deteriorated and she was expelled from the congregation 3 months after her mothers death.

Very sad. Thank you for your loving kindness.

Sad indeed for both of them.

And while we know the outcome for the mother, there's only hope for the daughter that she comes to her senses, for discipline is only evidence of Jehovah's love. He has not stopped loving her. Jehovah knows the heart.

I'm sure she is heartbroken, I pray she returns while the door is still open. Are they able to get you any supplies yet?

Supplies through the branch have been minimum, at top 1 every 5 months, but even if they have the money to buy food,  trying for example to ship a truck with food will result in it being confiscated, if the local authorities near Bethel suspect there is food stored in the branch, then they won´t have problems entering the premises, investigating it and then confiscating the food. Mostly the help is being provided and organized locally between the friends who are in a somewhat better economical position, and with monetary help from a few friends overseas, taking advantage of the exchange rate, that is the only arrangement that is working at the time at least here in our congregation. A dear friend sent some money and we´ve been providing a lot of nutritious food to our friends, specially the children and also medicine, we´ve even been able to help some in nearer congregations. The way that Jehovah has organized His people in congregations , and the group overseers with 10 - 12 publishers has proven very wise.

Brother Antonio,

This quote has touched me deeply for the fact that I continue to pray for you and our dear brothers and sisters there.  That said, I have made it a matter of prayer to Jehovah and I will help through the disaster relief donations (online).  May our loving God Jehovah continue to bless you all! :bible2:

Could you explain more about the exchange rate please Brother Antonio - do US$ equate to quite a bit more in your currency?

Hi Sis.

At this moment 1$ represents 28.000 BsF (28.000.000 BsF). Of course this called dolar libre (unregulated us dollar)

Minimun wage is about 5,85$ a month at current rate

5,85$ is what a brother or a sister can earn after a 8 to 5 job 24 days a month, because most of the business pay just the minimum wage.

A piece of bread is worth 0,035 Us$ , 1 Kg of milk 2 U$, a chicken 1.78 Us$, a pack of 24 eggs 1 Us$. So you can imagine what is like to feed yourself with just that little money, which btw devaluates everyday.

As you can see, food is almost dollarized but the wages are still in local currency which amounts to almost nothing.

Last night I watched the 30 minutes video about the disasters in different parts of the world, It was very encouraging and sad at the same time, it is really amazing that in just one month that many disastrous events happened all over.

May Jehovah keep giving us strengths in these last days.

It was an honor Bro Antonio to hear the reports from your country during the Annual Meeting. I immediately thought of you and the Friends there. You are extremely rich with spiritual blessings and it was heartwarming hearing the report.  May Jehovah continue to be with you always!

While our hearts ache for our friends in Venezuela, we want to remind everyone of the instructions we have received from the Slave.

Our instructions are to donate to the world wide work. Do not earmark funds be used for specific purposes. Trust the brothers to best use donated funds.

Having said that,  anything you choose to do personally is your business. It's your money.  Just be aware of all dangers and pitfalls.  Research the options carefully, prayerfully and thoroughly before making any decision on what to mail or donate or send to these brothers and sisters in need.

These friends are in desperate need, and it would be a great waste if your valuable donations did not reach them due to the greed and corruption of Satan's world that has plunged Venezuela into this disaster.

Above all else, persevere in prayer as was mentioned in the Annual Meeting.

Yes. Obeying the slave, in the case of donations for Venezuela is the best.

And not only that, but in the beginning of learning about the situation I read that the authorities there is not allowing, thus accepting, aid from other countries. At first I had said to myself that the brothers can send food there. Imagine my horror and disgust upon learning that Venezuela's authorities were not accepting such aid!

However, we know, for a FACT that NO ONE and NOTHING can stop JEHOVAH'S hand!!! He said he'll take care of us, and so he WILL take care of our Venezuelan family!

Oh yes, Jehovah might allow some to die, and I understand that is what happened in some cases. But he is still taking care of even those ones by not forgetting them, and he will wake them up in due time.

So let us be obedient by giving to the worldwide work. Yes, as was said above it's our money to use as we see please.  But even then, can we use our "unrighteous riches" in harmony with the slave, who Jehovah is using, through Jesus?

Please, this is not telling anyone what to do, especially me being a sister, just a thought that's all.
