Exodus - another bible movie to come

Recommended Posts

If it follows the biblical story then I wouldn't mind seeing it, Sigourney Weaver is in it, I can see her as Miriam (it didn't say what role she actually would have).

It is of course doubtful that it will stay true to the bibles story, but I would be interested to see how they portray the parting of the Red Sea, and also the plagues.

There is also a new movie coming out next year titled "Mary, Mother of Jesus"

This is part of a promotional campaign for it:

Hollywood blockbuster Mary Mother of Christ. “It is a part of Mary, Joseph and Jesus’s life that has not been shown on the big screen before,” reads a synopsis. “Under the reign of terror of Herod the Great and, against all odds, they survive as young parents in one of the most treacherous times in history.” It promises “faith-based high action drama” − and there is no room in the audience for doubting Thomases.

Another movie of Moses’s life called Gods and Kings is also planned. Steven Spielberg was due to make it but has been replaced by Ang Lee, who won the Best Director Oscar this year for Life of Pi. Meanwhile, Son of God will tell the story of Jesus’s life, with Portuguese actor Diogo Morgado in the lead role. Will Smith is said to be planning a film based on the story of Cain and Abel, and Brad Pitt is rumoured to be playing Pontius Pilate in a separate project. There will also be Resurrection, in which a Roman soldier is sent to investigate Christ’s death. It has been likened to “Gladiator, with a mystery bent”.

She plays wife of Pharaoh.

While on this subject, I remember about watching 10 commandments long back.   Sadly,  though they have made a great picture in  enromous settings, spending huge money, with special effects during that era,   It never mentioned the name of the real Savior  "Jehovah"  but only Lord Lord... what a pity !!!

If you are referring to the 10 commandments of Cecil B. Deville, actuality they did mentioned the name of Jehovah ;)

Looking into all the modern takes I still consider that one of the best ;)

But I'm eager to see all those things with the modern day effects ;)

Well, that is interesting.   I was referring to the same movie.  But I could not find anyone taking the name of Jehovah. Can you be precise in which scene, so that I can pay more attention to that scene.  Thanks.

I think you are getting the 10 Commandments mixed up with 101 Dalmatians. Deville was in "101 Dalmatians" and Demille directed "10 Commandments."  :lol1:

Yes they did mention the name Jehovah.

We cannot incite if we are not in sight.___Heb.10:24,25

Lol :D I was thinking Demille, don't know how the "v" got there... Maybe the guy who made SwiftKey doesn't know this director or loves 101 dalmatians ;)

And there is also Noah, with Russel Crowe... And fire ball falling from the sky and Noah doing magic stuff with a sword or I don't really understood what it was.

Dis gunna be gud.

From what I saw on the trailer and the bellow quote on imdb I think this will have little to do with the bible ;)

According to Emma Watson, the film has an ambiguous setting: "It could be set in any time. It could be set sort of like a thousand years in the future or a thousand years in the past... You shouldn't be able to place it too much."

I think Chuck actually says his name is I am that I am. We watch it every once in a while.
