I too think the online "study" one will be sufficient for me. But the large print while giving a public talk - is really a necessity - for me. I don't like the idea of reading the Bible from a tablet for a PUBLIC talk - Theo School or CBS sure, but PUBLIC talk - just seems to send the wrong message to the public IMO.

 

 

Our elders/ms are using tablets for their notes, and they are using the bible to read scriptures during their parts.

Exactly my point, we should all keep those with a legitimate need in mind rather than demanding that the first to order should receive theirs before those who are infirm and are physically unable to order or pick up anything at the counter.

When I was shopping in tbe fabric store,  I discovered small magnifying plastic cards, in a clear plastic holder, which now resides in my new Bible. Self defense aand old eyes required some assist ance.

I have the large print Bible 2013 already on my tablet - so I don't need to order one. When the online study editions become available, I believe they will be sufficient for my needs.

The problem I have with tablet on platform is ______ I'm always hitting some button 1/2" from where it is supposed to be and closing stuff down . Have same fear with small printed bible -holding it my hand -ooopppps :oops:Closed   . Besides small print bible is harder for me to read even with glasses ( used only for reading ).

10 Large Print were ordered not all came in- some put over to next order -never got one, neither did the father ( an elder ) of the young brother looking after literature.

Yeah! Just got mine! First thing to notice - it is VERY heavy. I am happy to have it - just in time to start Proverbs.

I didn't get the new large Bible; I'm patient enough to wait for the reference version. In the meantime I just use the 1984 reference edition if necessary.

 

What I'm waiting for, though, is the pocket edition of the revised Bible. It's coming out sometime, but I don't know when. My eyesight is good enough for the smaller print (at least for now). But for the time being I have no choice but to use the 1984 pocket edition. I use it in service for tract/memorial invitation/convention invitation campaigns when I don't need to carry much else around.

We will all have months of advanced notice before the "study" edition comes out. Parts of it will be available at wol.jw.org WELL BEFORE it goes to print. They haven't even started posting any of it yet.

My husband told me yesterday our cong large print bibles have been shipped!!!!  Our cong has an order of 30 of them, and mine is in the order!!!!

 

So excited!!!  Yesterday at the Memorial, even with my lenses in, I was holding my bible right in front of my face, so I'm happy about the bibles being shipped.

At the annual meeting they clearly said there would be a pocket bible. But I don't remember when it will be available.

I hope soon lol. In public and informal witnessing I'm still using my old pocket bible.

I heard this as well, and I thought they said at Annual Meeting there would not be a pocket bible like we use to have.

 

I received my large bible yesterday, it's absolutely gorgeous.

Got mine today!.  Anybody else notice that Appendix A is in colo(u)r.  Regular size and the PDF is B/W
