PUI (Posting Under The Influence)

Recommended Posts

PMS? What does that mean for a woman? Putting up with Men's S***?

Say didn't I see your relatives in a field near Komoka yesterday while I was out in service? They certainly looked like your portrait - wild turkeys. B)

What's with the many strange posts recently? PUI? Too much Betel Nut? "Bath Salts?" And some posts almost appear to be written in modern-day hieroglyphs.

Most of the unintelligible stuff I post is a result of my phones texting feature which drops words and inserts others it's awesome...never know what I'm going to end up typing.

What I like about auto-correct is that it builds it's list of words from the words you have used most often in the past. It kind of learns how you think and tries to offer the words that you may want when typing. It's called "predictive text".

Just sayin  :whistling:

Wow, you had to say that twice uh vernalee! I don't ever remember using that "p" word when I texted before bit don't remember ising purse before either. Mostly text my husbamd

so could of used the first "p" word in a descriptive sense (haha- I don't even believe that!)

Don't live for the moment - live for the future! :D

Mine is more erroneous in the area of connecting words. Like one post I posted in the sentence was to read 'by the congregation' instead it was rendered as 'but he congregation'. I touch type with very few errors, so this is particularly annoying to me.

Shali, I had a similar experience with my phone - except instead of saying to my daughter I'd be over after the hall, it said hashish. Now I can honestly say I had never texted this word previously. HAD I done so, I would have called it hash.

I don't know how to turn predictive text off, but I suspect if I messed about with the phone I could figure it out.

If the phone is an Android, go into "settings" then "Language and input" find the default keyboard and then tap on "settings". you should find an option to turn off "predictive text" or something similar.

I use "swiftkey keyboard" and am constantly amazed about the accuracy of it's predictive text. It just keeps getting better as it learns. Most of the time, I only have to type in the first letter or two and it "suggests" the correct word. I wish I could get it for my Windows Laptop! :)

Peter We lived in Mt brydges for a while Do you know Br and sis Caruso from Kamoka?

I don't know them, however there are at least 2 congregations with territory out that way. Opposite sides of the road. Just like our hall - it is north side of Base Line Rd W #86 ( my cong is this territory ) and on south side is Southdale, until you get to stop going west, then it is ours.
