The consent laws are ridiculous And I've ranted about them before. If he is 15 and she us 15, it os is ok legally for them to have sex. However, if one of them is 19, then it's a crime. Depending on where you live, 16 is age of consent. That 1 year makes a difference.

Satan's world does not view sex before marriage as wrong or unnatural. Therefore they have to make consent laws. Biblically, there is no age of consent. Sex is for married people and toy should get married after bloom of youth. That eliminates the need for consent laws.

Prostitution laws are another example of Satan's stupidity. Sex is legal but paying for sex is illegal. However, paying people to have sex in porn movies is legal.

Likewise, having sex with multiple people, not being monogamous and having babies with different daddies or mommies is legal, but polygamy is illegal.

It's all crazy and contradictory. All because humans ignore Jehovah's clear guidelines about sex and marriage.

Shawn, there's a man (now a brother) I know who, at 19, had a girlfriend that was just shy of 18. They were planning on getting married after she finished school. Her parents were mad and didn't like him so told tall tales and long story short he's now a registered sex offender and his life in this system is damaged beyond belief. 

 

I agree with all you've said, particularly about prostitution, makes me shake my head.

This is the "permissive" society we live in where "casual sex" between teenagers is rarely prosecuted - even if one teen is over 16 and the other under.

In this community, a 12 year old got pregnant, and gave birth at thirteen. This was ago, before being disgusted at humanity was a ordinary thing. Nary a thing was done about it. The details still sort of turn my stomach, I will spare you. Some things hit you in the face. This was one of them. Today, you cannot avoid the Ick Factor, but I try to spare myself the details. A couple of years ago or so a British judge let a man, accused of pedophelia, free since the court had apparently come to the conclusion that the 12-year-old involved in the case actually "wanted" to engage in sexual activities. 

As time goes by American psychologists are agreeing with the idea that it is normal for 12-17 year-olds to engage in sexual activities - that it is important for the proper development of the child.  The more these psychologists repeat this sort-of-thing, the more acceptable it becomes to society.  You are probably correct in stating that we could be seeing "that happening in the not to distant future."

We have to take care not to develop a hate for people, because that is exactly what Satan wants us to do, because he hates people, and because he knows this kind of attitude will hinder our ministry. Always remember that Jehovah wants none to merit destruction. Having said that, I suffer from misanthropy ever since I was a child, it was part of the reason I left the truth and why I developed a strong alcohol and drug habit. Luckily, the situation is improving and I have developed a sort of shoulder-shrugging detachment from people, not the love I should have, but better than how it used to be.

 

Back to topic. I totally agree that this is where the world is headed, it couldn't be any more obvious. Just look at the sexualization of children in media. Miley Cyrus, for example. Or that little Ballerina from that dancing moms TV show that is now featured in a popular music video, dancing around an apartment in a skin-colored leotard.

 

When I was younger, I spent a great deal of time doing research into all kinds of awkward creatures such as Alfred C. Kinsey ("Prok"), the guy who revolutionized sexuality in the fourties and fifties with his manipulated research data on the sexual behaviour of men and women. Kinsey stated that infants were born sexual and that children had a sense of sexual desire, also influenced from interviews he held with some of the nations most active and experienced child-abusers... needless to say, Kinsey himself indulged in sexual perversion to an extent that was off the hook for those days. It is said he was also fascinated by sickos like Alleister Crowley (a man that called himself "The Beast" and "The wickedest man who ever lived") and their sexual libido.

 

The sad fact is, that children as well as adults can be manipulated into a frame of thinking so that sex can be considered consentual although the full psychological perspective is far more complex. An example, many women have allowed men to have sex with them despite the inner voice saying no. Although they never clearly stated they didn't want it, they felt raped. Children can be made curious as to what sexuality is because children look up to grown ups and therefore want to adult things. It couldn't be any clearer, however, that they are not psychologically capable of dealing with things like sex, drugs, alcohol, tobacco, violence, and such things.

 

But what manner of ethics does the world have now that even the slightest attachment to Jehovah's standards is being dropped? What kind of ethics does evolutionism provide? If you go by what happens in "mother nature", you find the weirdest behaviour when applied to humans. And yet, many people will say "It's natural!" because it happens when I stuff five male rabbits into a cage without a female. A dog will eat it's own crap, so that's natural, too, right?

 

What's important to note is that sex and love do not necessarily have anything to do with each other. Look at what we heard this week about Amnon. He thought he loved his half-sister. He turned out to hate her. Same thing often happens in relationships based on sex.

 

Sometimes, when I talk to people about this topic and they say "All people should have the right to express love with each other the way they want" I point out that sex and love don't have to go hand in hand. The bible does not say that men should not love men, in fact, it states the opposite! However, why does love have to do with sex, I always ask? My mom has a cat and I love that fluffy, cuddly beast like I've never loved an animal before. Does that mean I need to share a sexual experience with it? I love children, I love playing with them, does that mean I have to have sex with children in order to fully get to express my love? Guess what. I love my car. 'Nuff said! Nobody I ever asked this question had a response to it. They mostly end up admitting that erotic attraction and "love" do not need to go hand in hand.

 

It's so wonderful, in a world that has no direction or idea where it's heading, that we know where all this insanity is coming from and that there is a clear and distinguishable line we can draw. Jehovah made man and woman in a way they could enjoy a wonderful sexual experience in the context of a loyal and loving marriage between to spouses. Jehovah made all humans in a way they can enjoy a loving and loyal brotherhood. Men with men. Women with women. Adults with children. He is the Creator of all things, including love and sex. He gets to decide where the lines are drawn.

Hey Grace, you're speaking right to me!! I totally get what you mean, I call them 'road bosses', they want to drive however fast or slow they want to and can successfully manipulate an entire line of traffic. Sometimes it's so blatant I pull off and make a phone call or text, just because I'm tired of following a Road Boss.

Its common here that a driver will do 45 in a 55 and when you pass them they (and this is so funny) swerve all the way over to the fog line, slam on their brakes and give you vulgar hand signal! As if you're trying to run them off the road instead of just passing them. More often than not its an older, retired person. Sigh, I hope I never become like that.
