I think part of the problem is that the threads made stickied are sometimes started over a week early, leaving all the relevant information on page two or later. Any "all download links" thread like this one will have that same problem, since the thread will inevitably be filled with discussions and requests, making it just as hard if not harder to find the actual links.

 

My suggestion would be to have a single JW Broadcasting Links thread each month, posted on the day the videos come out, with current links in the OP, and a link to a single spreadsheet of download links for prior months.

But at a certain point, the irrelevant information drowns out the useful information.

 

Case in point, each week Astrid posts a thread for the current WT Study. The thread doesn't always stay on track, but the relevant information is found early on. But if someone starts a thread on an article that hasn't even been printed yet, the entire thread turns into random speculation and little else. By the time the study itself does come around, the stickied thread is an all new thread with the relevant information in the OP, not the months-old thread full of specialization with the article finally posted on page 5.

 

That's the problem here, when multiple threads get posted several weeks early, the final merged sticky ends up being several pages of random chatter before even the first video is released, then the links have to be re-posted sometimes twice per page, and many times over through private messages, because nobody can find any useful information in the official thread.

The first sentence of my post above might help. It would need to be done by a moderator but eventually everyone would learn to go to the first post for the relevant info.

The spreadsheet looks good. Perhaps, instead of a "thread", the spreadsheet could be posted as an "announcement" that does not allow posts ....

I considered that, but is it possible to update or replace a file in the files library? If we end up with an all new list for each upload, then the problem simply migrates from "which page of the thread has links" to "which spreadsheet has the newest links".

That's why I suggested that the links be edited into the first post for each month broadcast. Simply put into search "JW Broadcasting (Month)" and you have all of  the downloads in one spot for that month. As the downloads are posted in the thread along with the other comments a moderator would edit the links for each new video into the first post of that thread.
