A cute bear cub at the door

The text is in Spanish, but anyway the nice thing about it is the picture of the bear cub. One guy living in a small town in the mountains was leaving his home and found a bear cub at the door. He says his first impulse was to stroke it, but then he thought its mother could be anywhere near and preferred to go back inside He was able to take a nice picture before it fled.

 

Maybe spotting a bear is something common where you live, but it is extremely uncommon in Spain, where bears are all but disappeared, with very few specimens remaining. Long for the day when we can enjoy Jehovah's creation and animals and people are no longer a danger to each other.

Oh man, where we live we have a problem with them. We personally live on a waterway where wildlife have a trail going through in our backyard. We have a family, mom and 2 cubs. They just scoot through the yard and don't generally cause a problem. BUT the male isn't, wasn't, scared of anything. I saw him rear up on his hind legs and paw the air. NOPE, not going in THAT part of the yard! I say wasn't because he was hit and killed by a big truck, they had to bring in a front end loader to pick him up off the road. He was positively huge. AND I have to admit I wasn't too sad to know he was gone. He could be a predator. He had no fear, therefore the community did. Unfortunately people here think they're cute and feed them. That is until they learn how to open your doors, a neighbor did that.

The guy says in the article that he took a picture, then tried to record a video but the poor thing fled scared before he had the time.

If I were a bear cub and took one look at Carlos, I would run for my life too!
