I love this quote:

"We MAY be close to finding evidence of alien life", a NASA scientist says.

As in - we haven't found any, are still looking and maybe we will never find any, but hey who knows MAYBE we will  :lol1:

It says a lot of nothing, eh?

Plan ahead as if Armageddon will not come in your lifetime, but lead your life as if it will come tomorrow (w 2004 Dec. 1 page 29)

Soon .....

Did I get this right? :D

You have the audacity to doubt their veracity, even to insinuate they might be prevaricating? :uhhuh:

Well, they may be right, just their timetable is wrong .... if there really is that much water ... perhaps at some point Jehovah will place people on those planets and then they will have life

"Let all things take place decently and by arrangement."

Finding life on other planets wouldn't be a big deal, imo. What we will not find is intelligent life like us anywhere else.

That's my thought exactly

I don't see any argument against the existence of other planets with vegetation on it

The below, excellent reasoning, that I seldom use is only applicable for humans

*** g90 4/8 pp. 10-11 Extraterrestrials—Finding the Answer ***

If God did create such beings, he did so before he created Adam and Eve. Such beings either remained faithful to their Creator, or like Adam and Eve, they sinned and fell into imperfection.

But if they became imperfect, they needed a redeemer. As one essayist put it: “One has this dreadful thought that on Friday [the day Jesus Christ was executed], every Friday, somewhere in the universe Jesus is being hanged high for someone’s sins.” But that is not Scriptural. The Bible tells us that Jesus “died with reference to sin once for all time.”—Romans 6:10.

What if these beings had remained perfect? Well, when Adam and Eve sinned, they were, in effect, questioning God’s right to rule over a world of intelligent physical beings. If another planet existed at that time, a world full of intelligent physical beings who were living harmoniously and loyally under God’s rule, would they not have been called in as witnesses to testify that God’s rule does indeed work? This conclusion seems inescapable, since he has already used even imperfect humans as witnesses in his behalf on that very issue.—Isaiah 43:10.

I am amazed that the very reasoning they use to deny the existence of God - there is no proof of his existence, therefore you are relying on blind faith - is exactly the reasoning they reject when they speak of life elsewhere in the universe.

They really are blinded into credulity.

Absolutely there are life forms in space and I am not talking about spirit creatures.

To argue to the contrary would put you in the same category as the flat earth people.

It has been proven beyond a doubt that living bacteria do exist in space.

Where these bacteria exist there is sure to be at least semi intelligent beings.

Wikipedia is known for publishing just the facts.

The editors of the WT have stated that the Bible gives no indication of life on other planets. Likewise it does not say it is impossible for there to be intelligent life in other solar systems.

The point was made, that if there was life out there we can be assured of one thing, it is only to Earth that Jehovah sent his Son to redeem a people. That is a one time event.

Interesting this quote about what some priests in the Vatican believe

** g02 11/22 pp. 28-29 Watching the World ***

The Gospel in Space

While scientists are still debating the possibility of life in outer space, priests at the Vatican Observatory, reports the Berliner Morgenpostnewspaper, have come to the conclusion that “earth’s inhabitants are not the only creatures of God in the universe. God also created extraterrestrials.” As explained by George Coyne, director of the observatory, “the universe is simply far too large for us to be alone.” To reach these extraterrestrials with the Gospel, several monasteries have been sending the New Testament into space as an encoded message. What the Vatican would like to know next, says the newspaper, “is whether Jesus Christ has manifested himself on other planets too.” And, adds Coyne, “whether Jesus Christ has also saved the inhabitants” of those planets.

Everything that comes out of the Vatican is proposterious, disgusting, and absolutely, positively as ungodly as it gets!  They never cease to amaze.  If there is a truth as set forth in God's word, they always take the opposite stance!  Morons of the highest order.

Don't live for the moment - live for the future! :D
