Women possibly to be included in Military Draft

They are saying that a new policy going before the Senate includes a mandate that, IF passed, would require women from 18-25/26 to sign up for conscription like men do, starting in January 2018. I don't think this will pass, but it worries me as a few of my friends are in that age bracket now and if it does pass, more will be 18 by the time it does pass... I'm praying this gets thrown out...

Well, we are not at war, I don't think. and our brothers have been registering when they become 18 for many years. If young sisters have to do so as well, that won't bea big deal unless we get into a drafting conflict.
