I think you might be referring to my vegetable garden up the back....

Yes, I saw your raised garden. I did several of those at my last home.

The weather has been very pleasant here in North Texas, United States. Here it is Christmas day, and it was 72° this morning, then got up to 79°.

The Hebrew word cushi or kushi is an affectionate term generally used in the Bible to refer to a dark-skinned person of African descent.

It is hot where I am, and we don't have any bushfires of any significance nearby (as yet).

We have been having a mild winter mid 30's F to mid 40's F occasionally getting to the low 50's F.  Because of a low pressure system off Alaska the entire west coast of the USA has a "stay off the beach warning."  Up to 20' high waves following King Tides makes for danger.  Always a few who don't listen and pay the price.

Summer here in Queensland... 27 degrees C. right now (around 80 degrees F?), steamy, partly cloudy, better inside in the aircon... but managed out in the field this morning with a bit of cloud cover and occasional fine veil of rain.

Whatever the weather, we do what we can. I hope it is okay to share how I had an encouraging experience during a short break at a small park with some swings today. I walked over to smile and say hi to a young mum, Roweena, with two preschool daughters. She was shy, but soon we shared a little, and it turned out she was from the Solomon Islands.

Back at the picnic table was our group of those going in the field, so I let a lovely but equally shy sister also from the Solomon Islands know about Roweena. She came over, and they chatted happily.

I played with the kids and shared with the older girl about who had made the plants and trees around us and how one day she might want to find out more about Jehovah, for it's great she wants to be a doctor one day when she grows up, but our Creator is going to have an earth with no one sick at all. Imagine that. Isn't that wonderful! She drank it in. Who knows if one day it may be the seed Jehovah makes grow.

Our dear sister made friends with Roweena. I had our 'study the Bible' card with my phone number ready in my pocket and lots of smiles later we left, knowing this mum would be there next week too as she goes every day.

Last week, a very irate woman screamed at us for knocking at her door, and that shook us a bit, of course, though we are happy to be maligned for the Christ. But we had another wonderful experience next door to her. Another young mum, Jess, welcomed us and listened intently to the scripture from Ps. 72:7 about peace, and looks forward to seeing us again.

Hope that lifted your spirits, whatever the weather. :)
