Updates to JW Library (iOS, Android, Windows)

Recommended Posts

After reading this topic, It seems that JW Library on windows 11 and Android is getting an update.

Edit.

I like that small update. I tap on the square in the right pane and it immediately takes me to my note for the scripture.

Sweet!

Agora é possível clicar no pequeno quadrado ao lado de uma nota no Painel de Estudo e ver a nota sem primeiro abrir a escritura, etc.

we also have a new layout when we click to preview, the way the text looks with a larger margin

I had one upgrade before the meeting last night and another one today. I don't remember there being a picture in the preview window/study pane last night ... like there is now

I’ve noticed that there is an issue for last update on JW Library for apple devices. When we access references from the study pane and “enter” the linked publication, instead of one or two paragraphs being “highlighted”, all the article is “highlighted”. That does not happen, for example, in bible verses.

For me, this feature was importante. I’m currently attending the SKE and having the “portion” of the reference from the study guide “highlighted” was great… now, it thanks me a little bit longer to study.

Anyone with the same issue on apple devices?

Did you just downloaded the linked publication? Because, if yes, it will appear “highlighted”, but if you have it already downloaded, it will highlight all the publication. Can you try again please? What version of the jw library do you have?

Yes, you're right. If the publication is already downloaded it highlights everything... I didn't have it downloaded

But why do you need to go to the downloaded pub and not just use the study pane?

I’m currently attending the SKE school and we have a study guide on jw library with several references. Some of them are just for a couple of paragraphs of the insight book (it) or several paragraphs of an watchtower article. In the previous jw library version, the selected paragraphs were “highlighted” which was easier to study… now, I have to go “back” several times to the study guide to see which portion was I supposed to read..

I see... The best workaround for you is to use one of this  options:

1 - Open jwlibrary both on your tablet and phone

2 - Use JwLibrary and WOL in split view

3 - Download the study guide in word or pdf and use Whatchtower Library (The DVD) to extract all the references on the guide and see those in split view with JWlibrary
