Mr. Christensen is not guilty of a crime. He was arrested while attending a peaceful religious meeting along with his wife and fellow believers. The trial will begin at 2:30 p.m. on February 19, 2018, at the Zheleznodorozhniy District Court in Oryol.

If you want to track the trial in real time and perhaps offer a prayer when it starts, Oryol is in the same time zone as St Petersburg Russia and Moscow, so you can add one of them to your phones world clock.

The best thing that we can do is pray and stay loyal to Jehovah.  I just found a wonderful drama on JW broadcasting about  a family with a strong Russian accent, although it was not said what nationality they were.  It is called "Be Loyal as Jesus Was."

I don't remember seeing it, but it came out in 2016 -- what a reminder!!

It was part of the 2016 Regional Convention. And you don't remember seeing it? Anyway, each of the seven parts of the video was presented in the Friday afternoon seven-part symposium "Be Loyal, As Jesus Was."

Interestingly, they had a Russian accent in that video in every language it was translated into!

Thanks, Sister Linda.  The brothers keep us up to date on this situation.

It's pretty quiet around the case of Dennis Christensen. I've expected the case to continue. But jw-russia isn't showing any information about it yet. Anyone with some news about the case?

Here’s a link from froum 18 with an article that covers a lot of cases described on jw-russia. It’s terrible to read what’s happening in Russia at the moment. Sometimes I translate jw-russia to english or dutch. But it it’s pretty hard to read after a translation by google.

It breaks my heart now I can read it in descent English on forum 18. Terrible!

May our brothers and sister hold on and find shelter by Jehovah and each other to get through this hard time.

This is a translation from JW-Russia.org....

At least until August 1, 2018, the detention of Dennis Christensen, a Dane who has been detained for about 9 months in the remand prison because of his religion of Jehovah's Witnesses, has been prolonged. The decision to extend the arrest on February 22, 2018 was taken by Alexei Rudnev, a judge of the Zheleznodorozhny District Court of the city of Orel.

Meanwhile, on February 26, 2018, the beginning of the main hearings on the criminal case against Denis Christensen was scheduled. He is accused of continuing the activities of the organization of Jehovah's Witnesses, which was liquidated by the court. In fact, Christensen has nothing to do with this organization. He only used the right that "everyone" is guaranteed by the Constitution of the Russian Federation, namely the right to have religious beliefs and act in accordance with them.
