Another Archaeological Confirmation - Jerusalem's Destruction by Babylon

This came from National Geographic.  I am trying to get the picture of what they found, it is awesome to realize that this is the destroyed city remains, dated to that time.

For the first link, I'd like to know what is new, since there were already evidences of a destruction by fire. Also, I wonder about the meaning of this sentence: "Finding the burnt pottery and artefacts in the dig site corroborate Jeremiah’s testament, though perhaps not to the extent he described it". I guess it means that there is evidence of fire destruction at least in certain parts of the city, but they haven't found evidence of that destruction in all parts of the city yet.

 

For the second link, this is the part that caught my attention: "Archaeologists also found parts of a watchtower, bakeries, Roman-era coins, a mikveh (Jewish ritual bath) and limestone vessels used in rituals".

So, there's evidence of our brothers preaching door to door in Jerusalem...
