Anyone Watch Anime?

I tried watching Princess Mononoke but there was too much spiritism so I stopped after the first 20 minutes

I haven't decided yet if I'll resume watching it and skip some scenes, or if I'll just give up watching it all together

Reviving a dead post here, but I was a diehard Naruto fan for many years. Grew up watching him. I liked the original Naruto better because when the ninja fought, they fought with actual battle tactics, rather than demigods with monster smackdowns and way-over-the-top power boosts. For those reasons I preferred the original Naruto of Shippuden.

I also loved One Piece. I preferred the 4kids version because it was cleaner, but many other people hated it and preferred the original version.

Zatch Bell was also a favorite of mine.
I was also an Avatar: The Last Airbender fan. Korra a little less.

I used to be a huge Detective Conan fan

I have recently read the manga 'Ping Pong.' I watched the anime a long time ago, and as far as I remember, it's pretty clean (just like the manga). The animation and the story are excellent.

I usually only watch 'slice of life' animes, as they are the most decent ones (though it's almost impossible to find a 100% clean anime that's not a kodomo anime).

My daughter-in-law said that My Hero Academia was very good.  I haven't seen it.

I tried to watch it for 5 min after reading this comment but within seconds there were 2 profanity words starting with F.. it was on You Tube .. switched it off…

Well, I don't know if that's the case, but back then, when there were no official releases of anime in America (it also happened here in Brazil), people used to make their own subs. These fansubs often included a lot of curse words, even when the characters weren't saying anything like that, just to make them sound angrier or cooler (there are also memes about this). It was a common practice back then.

I'm not sure if they still do that in official releases (I think not), but I have encountered some curse words in the official Brazilian Portuguese dub of this anime.

That's lame because that's not how curse words work in Japanese—they don't use the f-word to curse...

Someone must have altered it.  I've never heard that in the 4-5 seasons I've watched.

Most of the time I watched it with English subs, though even the season I watched with English dubs it was fine.  Can't trust half the stuff on YouTube...

My daughter-in-law must have seen a censored version.  She will not watch a show with any profanity.  She got up and walked out of a theater 5 minutes into the show she had paid to see.

I used to watch a lot of older anime, but that was before I got baptized in 2013. It's really hard to find any anime clean since almost all of it has either magic, violence, or inappropriate romance in them.

I think the last anime I watched was a Ghibli film the Borrower Arrietty. Nothing bad with that if my memory serves me right. If I'm wrong, please let me know.

I would love clean anime/manga suggestions. I miss geeking out with others on the stuff. It was a lot of fun.
