Quote
  • George Young is one of the youngest children in the country to have dementia
  • Diagnosed at three years old, he is unable to walk and will need a feeding tube
  • His mother Claire, 35, has devised a 'bucket and spade list' before she loses him
  • So far George has ridden in a helicopter and sports car, and met soldiers
  • Claire says losing him will be 'heartbreaking', adding she never expected it

Crazy. I've never heard of a child with the condition!

Perhaps not ... but it is too late to edit it

No offence was intended - it was a "tongue in cheek" comment making reference to the thread on aluminum cookware where aluminum was being vilified as the cause of Alzheimer's/Dementia - since, obviously, this poor child is not old enough for aluminum cookware to be the cause.

It is a real shame that this system has degraded so much that such young people are experiencing aliments that traditionally have been endured by people much older - we need the Kingdom!

I understand where you were coming from but still it was a bit harsh.

I share your viewpoint of the weakness of our young, I feel the same, so many young are suffering. This system needs to end.

There have been so many people who were drawn to the truth after losing a loved one - that is the one thread of hope in this terrible situation.  My mother was drawn to the Witnesses after losing her mother, the thought of the resurrection was a great comfort and solice to her.  I think of the Chinese sister we saw in the video at the meeting a couple of weeks ago who lost her second daughter shortly after birth and blamed herself and God, but then Witnesses came to her door and shared the real reason why people die and how it wasn't her fault and that God didn't need "another flower for his garden".  When I hear of these kinds of situations I try to comfort myself by thinking "perhaps the next time a witness comes to their door they will ask "Why", "Why us, why take an innocent child?" and they will get the answers they need and come to love Jehovah for the loving God he really is and for  what he wants to do for them in the future.

Don't live for the moment - live for the future! :D
