How about defending your faith for 13 Hours!

Heard this last night...

 

This is from an unbaptised publisher in our congregation... She is from Africa originally but living in UK for 20-25 yrs. Had been involved in evangelical religions.. most of whom, she says, were mainly interested in money. (or you do not get the prayers of the pastor)

 

She had a study with the witnesses mainly because her husband came back into the truth after they met. She is fearless, but very kind, when talking to anyone.. even stopping the postman in the street..

 

She had to go back home to see mom in Africa a couple of months ago.. during the visit the family hired a mini bus, for about 12 of them, to go to some place (can't remember why) on a thirteen hour journey.. .

 

Not long into the journey out came the questions. You have your own bible, you are the only ones going to heaven, what is this 144,000, 1975?.... Why do they continually stand there with the carts in the street..  They told the driver to turn off the radio. They brought their own King James bibles to catch her out with HER version of the bible, only to discover that not only were the words almost exactly the same or they agreed, definitely same meaning but that the things she said were in the Bible (that they had never heard of) were in their own bibles!  The questions seemed endless. At the end she could hardly speak.

 

She did not know beforehand that they wrote out all of these questions in advance and were going to fire them at her... She did not know anything about the 1975 thing at all and had to research it on the journey! 

 

What a fine witness from a 'newbie'..
