Books are usually better than the television show/movie with a few exceptions (Jurassic Park, for example).

Just finished John Grisham's "The Reckoning." It's about a man who murders a small town pastor seemingly for no good reason, but the book delves into his military service during WWII. Be forewarned, the Bataan Death March and other atrocities are discussed at length. Not Grisham's best, but a solid book.

 

Currently reading "Tomlinson's Wake" by Randy Wayne White. 

 

Grisham ... I just finished "Skipping Christmas" he can be funny too.

Reading on my local history in 1891. A big fire happened and it almost wiped out a mile of businesses and homes. It was on a Saturday and the busiest day of the week, plus a court was in session too. They had to get out because if I’m right the court house was burned too.
