U.N. Chief Calls for Global Truce So World Can Focus on Coronavirus

United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on Monday called for a global ceasefire so the world can focus on fighting the coronavirus pandemic.

"It is time to put armed conflict on lockdown and focus together on the true fight of our lives," Guterres told a virtual news conference.

So far more than 351,00 people have been infected and over 15,330 have died, according to a Reuters tally.

The spread of the highly contagious COVID-19 respiratory illness caused by the coronavirus has drawn comparisons with painful periods such as World War Two, the 2008 financial crisis and the 1918 Spanish flu.

If 1 Tes 5:3 happens (seems like the stage is being set.. as per the UN Human Rights Council report), then hopefully Rev 17:15-18 happens next (if they achieve world peace due to covid or whatever else, then maybe we will witness this come true afterwards).

THE UNITED NATIONS — U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres called Monday for an immediate cease-fire in conflicts around the world to tackle the coronavirus pandemic.

The U.N. chief said: “It is time to put armed conflict on lock-down and focus together on the true fight of our lives.”

Guterres said the world faces “a common enemy — COVID-19” which doesn’t care “about nationality or ethnicity, faction or faith.”

Is there anyone who has read the above news story regarding U.N.Chief Antonio Guterres and the COVID-19 pandemic?

Everyone should take a few minutes to read and digest his earnest plea to the Human Rights Council, at the European Headquarters of the U.N.

Guterres repeats and implores that the only way to defeat COVID-19 is to stop wars...the wars that are from one end of 

the earth to the other end of the earth; and the warfare has relentlessly endured for decades.  He states that the only

way to solve the worlds biggest problem is to..."Stop the fighting everywhere and get rivals to tackle the coronavirus together."

The U.N. Chief said:  "It is time to put armed conflict on lock-down and focus together on the true fight of our lives" 

 

One could imagine that Peace and Security can't be too far behind.
