Now, all news outlets can or do spin the stories they present. Some just spin or lean in a particular direction more than others. 

 

This is less of an issue at the local news level, but it still happens.

Well, some articles I saw said the bombings only set Iran back about a month in their efforts. If true, then the US is only making half-hearted attempts. 

 

Politics? International Relations? Does a half-hearted attack placate Russia into not stepping in?

It's 4-D chess.  The US hit them without them ever firing off a shot.  Without ever seeing it coming.

 

The message was loud & clear.  Anything beyond that and the US risks escalading things beyond their currently desired involvement.

 

Our extremely limited awareness of all the variables & motives & consequences means we’re essentially flying blind...unless you’ve got access to the same intel the Pentagon uses.  Therefore any critique about what the US does is just silly.  At our level, we can't even SEE the chess board, let alone try to play it....  

 

We just need Jehovah to grab hold of the chess pieces.

"Sometimes" I wish I got a clearance where I worked. But way more than happy I didn't too. I quit as they were pushing it, probably would've fired me for refusing to. But I quit so... all good.

And all the alphabet networks slant the news in the opposite direction. The local networks where I am aren’t any better, sadly.

Here the major news outlets have a basic news broadcast on one of the main channels…like your typical nightly news. But they also have their other 24/7 news channels where most of the hosts are biased and it’s all politically charged commentary. 
I try to avoid any of those and stick to the regular nightly news sources from different channels. It helps avoid a lot of drama and conspiracy theories that way. Because even if the crazy sounding stuff turns out to be true, what are we going to do about it?  A whole fat load of nothing. 😉

Yes, that is what is being referred to, but I have yet to find a news network that reminds me of what news used to be: a simple reporting of what happened during the day. 
 

And you are correct: no matter what turns out to be the truth, we can’t do anything about it!
