Peace and Security, Great Tribulation, Armageddon

I didn't realize how long it takes to get marines in place ...

Quote

Thousands of U.S. Marines are slated to arrive in the Middle East on Friday, according to two U.S. officials, the day President Trump has set as the deadline for Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. The Japan-based amphibious assault ship USS Tripoli, the amphibious landing dock USS New Orleans and roughly 2,200 Marines from the 31st Marinc Expeditionary Unit will cross into U.S. Central Command, which is responsible for U.S. forces in the Middle East, on Friday, the officials said. It would take another few days for the unit to get to the Strait of Hormuz.

It will still take a few days once near there to be in position - so, Monday or Tuesday of next week. This thing is definitely going into extra innings.

You are 100% correct.

I’ve seen some brothers here talking about the war between Russia and Ukraine, and you can tell they really hate Russia, like it’s the villain.

But is that really how a Christian should behave—taking sides like that? Saying one side is good and the other is bad?

For Christians, there shouldn’t be any difference between Russia and Ukraine. The same goes for countries like the USA, China, or the Philippines, none of them are better than the others.

All human governments stand in opposition to Jesus’ Kingdom and are described in the Bible as beasts.

It’s one thing to share news about what’s happening in places like the USA, Iran, Russia, or China. But it’s another thing to start rooting for one country over another. Even if a place treats people, or even fellow believers, badly, we still shouldn’t take sides or support one nation over another.

I even saw a brother comment here, after quoting a Bible text, ending his message with: ‘Brave Ukraine!’” I imagine him dressed in clothing with a Ukrainian flag logo, with a flag flying in his front yard.
After Sunday's preaching to the people, Daniel 2:44

For those of us who are Americans, Russia has been "the enemy" in popular culture here for decades, since the 1980s and even before when the Space Race began in the 1950s. They have also persecuted Jehovah's people for decades.

In the war, Russia is clearly the one acting aggressively. Nobody in Ukraine, including their government officials, wanted a war until boots were on the ground and missiles in the air.

It's like Putin is trying to piece together the old USSR.

The KotN blocking the Strait of Ormuz... That sounds a bit like Daniel 11:43, doesn't it?

The war is about oil. Treasure. Iran has the 3rd largest reserve. No wonder they have ammunition.

Oil reserved will run out in 45 days.

Lpgas will run out in 23 days.

Speaking of which! S.Korea just imposed a vehicle usage restriction to save on the usage of barrels of oil. Can you imagine if this happens in many regions? Going back on Zoom in waves because we're restricted? That would be wild. Half the congregation show up because they can now use their car while the other half has to stay home.

What "appears" to be happening and the driving allowance criteria:

SEOUL, March 24 (Korea Bizwire) — South Korea will tighten enforcement of a vehicle rationing system for public-sector employees as it braces for potential oil supply disruptions stemming from prolonged tensions in the Middle East, the climate ministry said Tuesday, signaling a broader shift toward emergency energy conservation measures.

Beginning Wednesday, authorities will step up oversight of a five-day rotation scheme that restricts driving based on the final digit of a vehicle’s license plate, effectively barring each group from the road one weekday.

According to this the restriction is for public-sector (or government) employees and there will be one day they are restricted from driving.

Phillipians 4:8 Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are of serious concern, whatever things are righteous, whatever things are chaste, whatever things are lovable, whatever things are well-spoken-of, whatever things are virtuous, and whatever things are praiseworthy, continue considering these things.
