Correct me if I am wrong but our current understanding of 1 Thes 5:3 is that Jehovahs day mentioned in verse 2 would include both the destruction of Babylon the great as well as the political and commercial elements of Satan’s system. So the declaration of peace and security precedes Jehovahs day and thereby comes before Babylon the greats destruction.   Hope that makes sense.

The destruction of Babylon the Great is the destruction mentioned at 1 Thessalonians 5:3. The destruction of this system begins with the destruction of false religion. 

 

According to that verse "Peace and Security" comes before the destruction starts, not after it begins.

Since the new understanding of Rev 17:17 was explained at the annual Meeting and Jehovah acts sooner than we thought, I am really hoping for more clarification about when Jehovah's Day begins.

 It is pretty interesting that Jackson didn't mentioned it will be in a future article (around May or June 2025 WT). Who knows in will be in a book.

Listening in to the news and they mentioned how no one could have predicted yesterday what is happening in South Korea today. I immediately thought of Bro.  Jackson's talk.  Things can change so quickly.

Yep.  that's what I was thinking.  No different then what is going on here in the USA.   Republicans against Democrats. 

A division of politics, country, religion, race.  Things are unwinding quickly.

The difference today is that now he is prepared with his own hand-picked cabinet and more experienced since he last left office.  He is doing things methodically and deliberately.

 

There will be some chaos I'm sure.  I would not rule out "martial law".

And  France  .  .     A vote of no-confidence is due in a few days.  The result is inevitable.

 

This doesn't mean martial law or anything.  But a failed government with no budget moving on to uncharted waters.

 

In other words ~ a mess.  And France is a member of the UN Security Council
