Peace and Security, Great Tribulation, Armageddon

Time will tell if any of their talk brings a solution. Man is so fickle.

We know that ultimately they cannot bring a lasting and equitable solution. Only Jehovah can do that.

But, and it's a big 'but', if there's an apparent 'peace' bought about by their efforts, perhaps the majority of the world will say "peace & security" at last.

I think it will still take about 25 years 😢😢😢😢

Let the kingdom come quickly, I can't take it anymore.

Don't surrender to imperfect thinking... the end will come in an abrupt and unexpected manner.

This can happen tomorrow.

Man was created as an intelligent creature with the desire to explore and understand :)

Brother, there is no need to worry excessively about the end of this system. It is true that world events can stir our curiosity, but we must make sure that it do not become the sole focus of our Christian way of life.

Which world events make you think about that?

Or, which scriptures?

Phillipians 4:8 Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are of serious concern, whatever things are righteous, whatever things are chaste, whatever things are lovable, whatever things are well-spoken-of, whatever things are virtuous, and whatever things are praiseworthy, continue considering these things.

Doing some personal study on GT

I’ve been reflecting deeply on these thoughts. There’s much here to meditate on.

Even some who believe in a day of judgment think that it is far off.

To keep receiving holy spirit, we must also “not treat prophecies with contempt.” (1 Thess. 5:20) “Prophecies” here refer to messages produced by God’s spirit, including those concerning Jehovah’s day and the urgency of our times.

We do not push that day off in our mind, thinking that Armageddon will not happen in our lifetime. Instead, we speed it up—keep it close in mind—by maintaining right conduct and keeping busy with “deeds of godly devotion” every day.—2 Pet. 3:11, 12.  W23 June.

So perhaps it’s not really proper (or spiritually safe) to speculate whether the Great Tribulation might come in 5, 10, or 20 years. Doing so might make it seem far away, when in truth, our relationship with Jehovah and our sense of readiness must remain immediate. The focus, then, isn’t when the end will come, but who we are becoming as we await it.

This is a wonderful observation. Thank you.

I've always think that 'the end' might be anytime from now, actually, as my life could end anytime. So the urgency to have our "insurance policy" valid, paid.

Heb. 6:11 And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end:12 That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

Unfortunately,  this is true, our lives could end anytime. It's better to die faithful to Jehovah so we could encourage the next generation to follow the same. However, I hope I die in my old age so I could still use my life to worship Jehovah and encourage others to do the same.
