What time period in history is your idea of paradise?

Recommended Posts

Just for fun, what time period in human history matches your idea of paradise? What time period would you like to see civilization revert to after Armageddon?

Is the Israelites lifestyle your idea of Paradise?

Is the medieval times your idea of paradise?

Is ancient China your idea of paradise?

What time period would you like to see?

Around the 1930's.  Electricity was common in homes (I really appreciate electricity).  Processed foods had not yet taken over the human diet (I believe processed foods are mostly detrimental to the body).

1975 marked 6,000 years from the creation of Adam.  Apparently, he was alone for at least 47 years before creation of Eve.

So, what time period matches my idea of paradise?    Um   .   .  the first 47 years.       joking, of course

I can't think of any prior time in history that was any kind of "paradise" idea.  Lack of technology/ access to goods makes life a daily struggle, even now, for some.

I'm into modern times and beyond. "Going back" is rarely a good idea for anything.

That'd be going "back" but with Jehovah daily blessings, so it's perfectly fine.

Paradise? No. But the 1950's in the USA was an interesting time.  People were upbeat and positive about the future since WWII was over. (Korean War on the horizon though) All kinds of household inventions were hitting the market to make life easier on "the little housewife" and they were built to last.

Work was plentiful.

The biggest thing was that most food was not genetically modified yet.  Food coloring and preservatives were not in everything.  There were vaccines for some of the more deadly diseases but they weren't putting so much poison into the children as they are now.  Teens drank and smoked but mom said the teens felt that the only people who used dope were dopes.  Children were disciplined, not filled with entitlements and showed respect for adults.

In Orange County California where we were raised they still had orange groves and lots of unbuilt areas.  The ocean and beaches were clean.

And the music and cars were really cool!!!

But Paradise?  Not even close. 🙂

Its hard to pick a time that we would like to regress to. My idea of Paradise is progressive, not regressive.

It's hard to pick a particular time ... maybe the 23rd or 24th century - looks pretty good on Star Trek. It would be even nicer since we wouldn't have the weapons and military.

How about Adam & Eve's time? But this time without snakes... 😉 And maybe we can rename some animals as well. I mean: Hippopotamus? C'mon Adam...

Adam wasn't greek though :D

But it's interesting that Jehovah may create brand new creatures that he may ask us to give them a name... That will be so interesting :D
