There are different estimates of how high the wave would be once it reaches the U.S., also...the volcano has a split down the side..that is why it could fall away. I was thinking that, what if the quakes cause a partial collapse..enough to cushion a further rockslide if the volcano actually erupts..maybe the force of the wave would not be as great.. oh well, we are re-examining our go bags just in case. We live 6 miles from the east coast of Florida.

yes, difficult to predict, still I saw years ago in a National geographic program that Cumbre Vieja is the most worrying volcano in the World for the POSSIBLE tsunami consequences. Hopefully, It will never happen....we live 700 metres away from the Atlantic Ocean...

Dont want to cause any scaring, but BBC has done some research in the past.

This is a worse case scenario, but if part of Canany falls into the ocean the near coasts will definatly be flooded. Not know how much but it will. Not sure if science is correct and the giant tsunami reaches US 😕

Sofia, so far the video I posted is all I can find in the news...lots of lava flowing and spewing up into the sky..Perhaps there will be more news coverage where you are..praying for you and all the friends possibly in harms way...I assume there may be brothers and sisters on La Palma as well..😩

They were evacuated. about 10000 people. The lava is flowing too fast. Not looking good. If there´s no land slide into the ocean we are all safe. The eruption can last months like in 1971. If there´s a lad slide it can trigger a tsunami with unknown effects. Big or small it doesnt sound nice.

 

If the best scenario there wont be any slide and few casualties. Now many houses were destroyed on the lava way, but people were evacuated from that side of the island.

The ashes are already predicted reaching Portugal in a few days

Maybe the lava flows will help solidify the unstable areas..meanwhile, people are fearful of so many things happening..We need to focus on sharing the Kingdom solution with all we can.

it seems another magma bubble is being formed and may burst anytime 

lava hasn’t reach the ocean yet

when it happens water steam explosions and other phenomena are expected
