What about this one.

Literally translated, the long form of the name means: [The] church of [st.] Mary (Llanfair) [of the] pool (pwll)[22] of the white hazels (gwyn gyll) near [lit. "over against"] (go ger) the fierce whirlpool (y chwyrn drobwll) [and] the church of [st.] Tysilio (Llantysilio) of the red cave (-ogo[f] goch). .

Shortened to Llanfairpwll or Llanfair PG.

I know the name is actually a sentence because I visited in 2018 and read a touristy information thingy all about it. But I didn't retain the actual meaning; I had to look up!

I even visited the church mentioned. It has a wrought iron gate having the Alpha and Omega letters.

Maybe, maybe not.

Following Lewis' post on the long and difficult to pronounce place name, @Sister Twister and I went a bit off piste.

I'd also reminded@bohemian to stay on-topic, a tongue in cheek way of saying to only post good jokes in this topic!

So having gone off topic myself, I pointed out the fact before anyone else did!

Oh thats interesting. When I was posting that video I had learned that the name was actually a sentence as well, and found other names similar in length also are sentences themselves too, I wonder what the reason behind that.

According to Wikipedia: "Longer versions of the name are thought to have first been used in the 19th century in an attempt to develop the village as a commercial and tourist centre."

Boudreaux decided one day that he wanted to try ice fishing. He went to the library and read some books on it and decided that he was ready. He went to the nearest frozen lake he could find, set up all his equipment, and proceeded to cut a hole in the ice. Suddenly, he hears a loud voice from above; "There are no fish under the ice!" So he picks up all of his stuff, moves some distance away, and proceeds to cut another hole in the ice.
Again, the voice from above says, "There are no fish under the ice!" So Boudreaux moves all the way to the other end, and starts to cut another hole. Again, the voice, "There are no fish under the ice!"
Boudreaux looks up and asks, "Is dat you, God?"
The voice says, "No Boudreaux, this is the ice rink manager!"

Joe decided to try ice fishing. He went to the lake and cut a hole, baited his hook and lowered it in the hole. He waited some time and nothing happened.  He raised the hook and put on fresh bait and tried again - still no bites.

A short distance to his left there was a grizzly looking guy pulling fish out oh his hole every few minutes.

Joe finally turned to the man and asked him, "What is your secret? Why can you catch so many fish and I can't even get a bite?"

The man looked at him and mutterd, "Y mpht kojjvmom sj nsmm"

"What?" Joe asked.

The man said louder,  "Y mpht kojjvmom sj nsmm"

"I can't understand what you are saying," Joe responded

The man cocked his head back then, leaning a bit forward gave a mighty spit at the ground and barked, "I said, you have to keep your bait warm" as he sprayed earthworms across the ice.
