Does anyone know of any RPGs without magic or guns or violence for Android?

Recommended Posts

Most RPGs now that are more hogh tech would have one of those featurs and normally if they dont usually they have half naked ladies in it. The safest thing would maybe find a sudoku, picross, or mystery game. I also feel if you do find an RPG youre looking for its gonna be a huge cash grab (highly gacha based)

Though with magic, does that count with match 3 puzzle games where if you get x amount of colors you can do a power /ability

First thing that comes to mind is Pokemon, but I'm not sure if it contains magic or not. Been so long since I've played any of those games.

Ehhhh some people believe that their abilities are 'magic' based. But its a good idea, if hes into pokemon Pokemon Masters Ex, or even maybe pokemon Go would be good. Theres tons of pokemon android games. OR.... OR.... Depending on how he feels about sailing the seas, i can hook him up with some roms 🤷🏿‍♀️

Edit: Imma just say for reasons i do own physical copies of the games.

Just curious ... with the way this is worded - is it OK if there is "violence for iOS"?  :lol1:

I once asked the very same question online.

These will fall into relative violence and not focused or seriously violent category imo. You see for yourself.

Firewatch.   It seemed interesting but i haven't played so do your due diligence.

Also RPG has a large scope of games.

A really good game that i can think about is No Men Sky.  The defensive/offensive part of the game remain in its place like many other aspects.  It is not emphasize. It is there as a natural part of space exploration/survival with other species.   You fully have the freewill to not engage and leave which could even have it's advantage in term of interstellar relations.

In term of fully 3D games you could have a look at some original MonsterHunter games.  I played the very first one and it has what a regular gamer would like.  Third person combat with different equipment and classes. You hunt more and more dangerous animals and monsters, gather their parts to build better equipment and hunt even more dangerous monsters.   It's a "you vs environment" thing and retain the grind and actions feel of other popular games.

Stray if you fancy playing the role of a cat. Nah seriously amazing game. You can "meow" on command.  I thought you should know.

If you meant RPG as good ol "turn base" then you could have a look at Cristales.  I played a bit.  This one is again a "see for yourself".  The basis is a time traveling story. Change the past, see the result in the future etc.. it has an interesting mechanic to it but in the end you know the safe rule: if you don't feel it it's most likely not worth it.

Many 2D side scrolling games.  There was violent games in the past but it is only when Mortal Kombat appeared in 1993 that violence in video games ended up being directly addresses in the assembly.  This gives me the feel that how violence is presented has a bit of influence on how the Governing Body see's things.   See for yourself how you feel about 2D side scrolling games.  Maybe some could fill your need for action and fantasy while remaining simply presented.

In the end. Keep studying and praying to have the best POV of Jehovah on this subject.

Some of the installments do have magic in them. Also, they are some ghost scenes in some of the games, not to mention "ghost" and "psychic" type Pokemon...

Oh for anyone coming after me wondering if there is any game.  I found one. It's called Botworld. It has no magic, just robots, and special abilities like "poison" and "ice" and other nonmagic things.  You can't really play with others online but it's really fun regardless. You get a few bots, you level them up, upgrade their abilities, give them special other additional abilities you can unlock. There's gadgets that allow you to have special "tricks".  It's cool and has nothing to do with magic or violence. Or weapons. Real weapons at least.

I am over not being able to play a decent RPG so I'm making one myself now.
I need a hand, if someone is up for playtesting, can contribute some music to play and especially graphic artists, let me know.
It's a life simulation. Because it's what I've always wanted to play, because I have children and because my conscience is allowing me to make that sort of a sim now after our last broadcasting - that brother who made a cool game for his kids.  :)
It's rather ambitious, being built in TypeScript with Phaser as the GUI end.
PM me if your keen.  :)

Awesome!  I am still in the early stages but it would be fun to build a dev team (or even some testers) with some friends. :)

The game concept is already fairly mature but just building it up again from scratch and documenting super carefully.

I might make a thread where we can keep all the info on one place.

I don't know about RPG's, but my son did several YouTube videos years ago about games.   His site is on YouTube and it is called Good Clean Gaming.  You might find something interesting there.  If you turn off your AD BLOCKER, You Tube will actually send my son money for everyone that views the games.
