US Gas prices - up or down?

At my local Shell it's 5.79 for 87 and 5.99 for 91. But that's cash price. Not debit/credit card price. They usually charge .5 to .10 cents more for debit/credit card usage.

In my neck of the woods in regional NSW, Australia, allowing for US gallon size and currency conversion, diesel is currently US$7.23/gallon. 2 weeks ago it was US$4.63 ☹️

Reg Gas hit $2.05 per liter today in BC, while Diesel hit about $2.40 per liter at the high end, I travelled about 40 minutes to get a cheaper price at $2.05 per liter for Diesel yesterday.

 

Conversion to Gallons

$2.05 x 3.78541 = $7.76 ($5.67 USD)

$2.40 x 3.78541 = $9.08 ($6.64 USD)

In my area of regional NSW Australia today diesel ranges from $2.74.9 to $2.89.9 per litre.  This morning it was slightly cheaper by a few cents.  

That equates to $10.40 to $10.97 per gallon.  Of course this is $AUD which means it would be less in $USD.  

We own 2 diesel cars and get around 950-80 out of a tank so if we are careful can last a couple of weeks.  However atm my husband is travelling for work as we recently moved and he is finishing jobs off from our last area where we lived.  It is a 238km one way trip so he stays a few days works then comes home a few.  We are trying to keep our cars topped up.
