Sky Tower drama: 80-year-old hero

"An 80-year-old minister has told how he spent an hour persuading a mental health patient to cherish the gift of life and not jump, as they both stood 192m above the ground outside the Sky Tower.

This article appeared on the front page of the NZ Herald, New Zealand's national newspaper.

Apparently, the picture had a red ring around the brother highlighting where he was in the picture. In the online article which I first saw, I completely missed that the brother was partly visible with his bible open.

Generally when we think of the "gifts in men" we tend to think of their ability to give talks :detective: or start Bible studies :readbible: and the like. I will have to give Br. Browne credit for having a "gift" I don't have

It's not that I couldn't talk to someone who wants to die ... I could never go that high up and do what he did! I am terrified of heights. Being able to go to that height and still be able to calmly talk to that man - what a gift!

From this story we can see the hand of Jehovah at work. WOW, Bro. Browne said he was calm. Kudos to him, I could not have done that am so afraid of heights. Hope he is able to maintain contact with this guy to help him on the road to everlasting life.
