Terrence Howard - "if I Could I Would Become A Jehovah's Witness"

Recommended Posts

Too bad all of his defending is not going to save him on that day! Oh well....he still has time.

Is this a recent interview, we have had a few posted in the last few months.

I have that movie on DVD.  It is a very interesting movie, written and produced by the son of a long time Witness who did not become one himself.  Apparently the brothers cooperated with the movie in order to make sure that it is accurate, but they do not officialy recommend it, to my knowldge

Amazing the apostate youtube offerings that come up after this clip ends!!

We do not know who will be saved for sure.

When the twin towers were hit on 9/11 there were those that had to make that one last trade or business deal. They did not heed the warning to get out. A few made it but most did not. If one delays dedicating their life to Jehovah and baptism likewise there is no guarantee they will be saved.  "Seek Jehovah, all YOU meek ones of the earth, who have practiced His own judicial decision. Seek righteousness, seek meekness. Probably YOU may be concealed in the day of Jehovah’s anger.__Zeph.2:3

We cannot incite if we are not in sight.___Heb.10:24,25

Its interesting that the Judging of the sheep and goats has not started yet. Goto JW.org and check out July 2013 study edition, this is a adjustment, one of three. So people still have time to turn around. How loving on Jehovah's part to extend such mercy.

Actually, we made the adjustment about judging the sheep and the goats a few years ago.

*** w95 10/15 pp. 22-23 pars. 24-27 How Will You Stand Before the Judgment Seat? ***
24 In other words, the parable points to the future when the Son of man will come in his glory. He will sit down to judge people then living. His judgment will be based on what they have manifested themselves to be. At that time “the distinction between a righteous one and a wicked one” will have been clearly established. (Malachi 3:18) The actual pronouncing and executing of judgment will be carried out in a limited time. Jesus will render just decisions based on what has become evident about individuals.—See also 2 Corinthians 5:10.

25 This means, then, that Jesus’ ‘sitting down on his glorious throne’ for judgment, mentioned at Matthew 25:31, applies to the future point when this powerful King will sit down to pronounce and execute judgment on the nations. Yes, the judgment scene that involves Jesus at Matthew 25:31-33, 46 is comparable to the scene in Daniel chapter 7, where the reigning King, the Ancient of Days, sat down to carry out his role as Judge.

26 Understanding the parable of the sheep and the goats in this way indicates that the rendering of judgment on the sheep and the goats is future. It will take place after “the tribulation” mentioned at Matthew 24:29, 30 breaks out and the Son of man ‘arrives in his glory.’ (Compare Mark 13:24-26.) Then, with the entire wicked system at its end, Jesus will hold court and render and execute judgment.—John 5:30; 2 Thessalonians 1:7-10.

27 This clarifies our understanding of the timing of Jesus’ parable, which shows when the sheep and the goats will be judged. But how does it affect us who are zealously preaching the Kingdom good news? (Matthew 24:14) Does it make our work less significant, or does it bring a greater weight of responsibility? Let us see in the next article how we are affected.

Before this Watchtower, we thought the judgment was going on in the present.  We would say after a bad door "well, he's definitely a goat."  Then this Watchtower came out and we had to rethink how we spoke concerning the householders.

Phillipians 4:8 Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are of serious concern, whatever things are righteous, whatever things are chaste, whatever things are lovable, whatever things are well-spoken-of, whatever things are virtuous, and whatever things are praiseworthy, continue considering these things.

We have known that the separating of the Sheep and goats has not started yet for some time, that was not "new light". We have known it takes place after the GT begins, we just got a clarification of when that is.

How can you be so sure that he won't be saved? Only Jehovah and Christ Jesus are the ones who can read the heart.

that's what i said in my post, He Still Has Time!!

Yeah. I really would love to turn those recommendations off but Youtube has full control over that. :(

Mr. Howard said that his smoking habit is one of the things that prevents him from becoming one of Jehovah's Witnesses. We all know that smoking will result in one being disfellowshiped  if it continues. Are there some who are currently disfellowshipped, but will survive? We don't know. As has been mentioned, Jehovah and Jesus know the condition of each ones heart, and how they are progressing toward reinstatement. It possibly depends on where these are spiritually when the tribulation starts. Again, our first priority is keeping our own heart right with God.

But even if Armageddon came today none of us can say he won't be saved because he didn't get baptized. Jehovah is the judge, we can't say he will or won't be saved, regardless of how much time is left. That was my point.

No, none of can say with 100% certainty who will be saved and who will be destroyed.  However, we can make some pretty educated guesses based on scriptures:

(Zephaniah 2:3) . . .seek Jehovah, all YOU meek ones of the earth, who have practiced His own judicial decision. Seek righteousness, seek meekness. Probably YOU may be concealed in the day of Jehovah’s anger. . .

By implications those people who are not seeking Jehovah, not seeking righteousness and not seeking meekness probably will not be concealed in the day of Jehovah's anger.

(Matthew 7:13, 14) 13 “Go in through the narrow gate; because broad and spacious is the road leading off into destruction, and many are the ones going in through it; 14 whereas narrow is the gate and cramped the road leading off into life, and few are the ones finding it.

The majority of mankind will not be part of the Great Crowd.

(John 3:36) 36 He that exercises faith in the Son has everlasting life; he that disobeys the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God remains upon him.

Those not exercising faith in the Son, those disobyeing the Son will not see life but, rather see Jehovah's wrath.

(2 Thessalonians 1:8) . . .in a flaming fire, as he brings vengeance upon those who do not know God and those who do not obey the good news about our Lord Jesus.

Destruction will befall those who do not know God and those who do not obey.

No, we cannot say for certainty about any one individual.  Nor can we say where ones will stand at that moment of judgement.  It's not our place to judge who lives and who dies.  However, Jehovah has given us clear guidelines to help us see not only which side we will be on in that time; but, also, guidelines on why we need to preach to as many people now.
