Haiky, the only way I know is iSilo and the files you can get from meekspace.com

I haven't had any trouble viewing the mobile version of the site and searching different topics.  If there is an app though it would be good to know, but it probably will not be an official Watchtower Society app.

This one is pretty good, it makes using the Watchtower Online Library even easier then it already is!

Thank you all for your help. But I have one more question, I'd like to know if I could download from somewhere an executable file for the Watchtower library for android?

No, it will not work. The WTL is a Windows-based program, it will not run on the Android operating system. The closets we can get is using isilo and the isilo formatted WT Library files.

I simply use a shortcut to the site... It's perfect - you need data connection but that's the same for the several app's in market

One disadvantage of the app's (don't know if all of them) is that you have to pay (:o) or you have to look to ad's (which is strange enough to me... So, if I can go to the kh to a straight way why should I make a turn to another street where I have plenty of ad's to look to in my way to a spiritual meal?) - if don't want ad's you just pay also

But what surprised me the most was reading several praise comments like this: "Thank you very much for creating this app! Now I can study in my mobile and look to the daily text every morning"

"perfect app! The only downside is that you have the magazines only to 2000)

And I may be paranoid but an apostate can use an app like that changing the informations you think are receiving from the slave, even if they say that the information is fetched directly from the site... It's like, if you changed turns to go to the kh, you reach an house that looks exactly like your kh but it's not

Really hope they make an android version soon.  I use isilo, but its not the same.

While we are on the subject, has anybody here got a copy of WT Library 1999?.  I want to try a pc emulator for android, run Windows 3.1 with the WTLib.  1999 was the last version to work with win3.1, and also the Online version goes back to 2000 anyway, so best of both worlds.

I use iSilo and the full WT library on my tablet, not just the online version.

Phillipians 4:8 Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are of serious concern, whatever things are righteous, whatever things are chaste, whatever things are lovable, whatever things are well-spoken-of, whatever things are virtuous, and whatever things are praiseworthy, continue considering these things.

try android here http://www.pocketlibrary.org/forum/index.php tell him Peter - pnutts sent you. After you jump thru the hoops you should get a bible program containing the WT library

I used this program back in th windows mobile days :)

But I thought the branch had asked this brother to remove all data from the site (in his own words)... But at the time it packed all the cd-rom in the program if I recall... Seams different now, I'm going to try it (can I mention your nickname also?)

Just learned William is shutting down his site at the end of May 2013 since it is a lot of work to maintain-mainly by himself -and pay for too. He did take the PLA text files off the site a long time ago -he could sent you a link for a copy. Windows PDA's are becoming a thing of the past and there are several proven android programs out there.

However if you wish to use android program from his site get it and related extraction software plus instructions fast. The android program no longer uses txt files.

I was wondering on the Mantano Reader is there away to enlarge the writing.

I know if I go to the screen rotation it enlarges some.

But the screen keeps spining so i readjust the setting.

I try the pinch & pull method. Finding it harder to read smaller writing. Thanks for any ideas.

In Mantano reader, "tap" in the center of the screen until the bottom toolbar appears. The tap on "display" and you will see a "+ A" and a "-A" Tap the plus A to enlarge the font (zoom in).

I too would like to find a reasonable way to load and use the WT CD on my Android tablet.  I have a major problem with WT Online because can not access it when you are off line.  WT Online works fine when I am near a WiFi that I can connect through, but it is worthless when I don't have connectivity.  The WT CD would be the best choice because I am off line more than I am on line.  Can someone direct me to a site that will walk me through loading something like BOCHS on my Android tablet, and then how to install a Windows image on the tablet that will boot in the BOCHS PC emulation?

Thanks beforehand for any assistance that you might provide.

Hello everybody,

If you want to install WT library on your Smartphone and/or on your tablet, you must download Isilo App (use AppStore for Iphone/Ipad and PlayStore for Android). You can also download a trial version on Isilo.com (30 days). After download and install it, you must dowload this following files :

{{Links removed because they violate the JWTalk Forum Membership Policy (which you can reread HERE) for being a copyright violation of the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society. - Bob}}

When the download will be finish, you will be able to open them with Isilo.

Sorry for my bad english, but I hope you will understand my post.

Have a nice day, Philippe

Welcome to JWTalk Forums Phillipe,

I removed those links because this particular forum is available to the public, even guests (non-members).

When we received our WTLibrary CD's, we agreed to the following from the Introductory Letter....

The following points cover proper use of Watchtower Library and answer questions you may have. The License Agreement, presented during the installation, sets out in legal language a license covering copyright protection. If you accept the license and will use this electronic tool, please indicate your acceptance after reading it.

YOUR USE OF WATCHTOWER LIBRARY

1. What constitutes proper use? Watchtower Library has been designed for your personal use. Hence, you may copy, print, or excerpt from the data for your personal use. But you may not distribute the program or large sections of the data to others who do not own Watchtower Library on CD-ROM. Do not sell Watchtower Library or put the program or data on the Internet or any electronic network.

2. Who may have a copy of Watchtower Library? Watchtower Library is a research tool for Jehovah’s Witnesses and those who regularly attend their meetings, not for the public or for institutions such as schools or libraries.

3. May I copy the program and data onto the hard disk of my computer and then not use the CD-ROM? Yes, you may do that. Less disk space is involved when you access the data directly from the CD-ROM; however, the speed of some operations is significantly improved if the data is stored on the hard disk.

4. If I personally own several computers, may I copy Watchtower Library and/or its data onto these? Yes.

5. May I make a duplicate of my CD-ROM as a backup in case I lose or damage my original? Yes, but this does not refer to duplicating the CD-ROM for others, which would fall outside the realm of personal use.

6. May I write commercial software or utilities that employ the program or data from Watchtower Library? No. It is not proper to charge for or to receive money from writing or distributing any software that employs the Watchtower Library program, utilities, or data.

#1 prevents us from hosting the iSilo files in our Files Library here at JWTalk.

#2 prohibits your posting links to iSilo files on the forums.

#4 allows us to have a copy on our phones or tablets, and MeekSpace claims to have an arrangement in place that is acceptable to obtaining data files that are compatible with non-Windows devices.

Thank you in advance for your understanding.

I have the WT CD that I received through my congregation.  I have it loaded on my laptop and use it extensively to study for the weekly meetings, and personal research.  I can not, however, carry my laptop with me to a lot of places, like I can my Android Tablet.  How do I get my personal copy of the WT CD installed on my tablet?  If you can, perhaps you can send me an email of the links or other information that will help me do what I need in order to use the WT CD on my android.
