  1. They have know it for a long time really, in some cases like below it's all about money...
  2. True Jayrtom. It gets crazy crazy... What I do understand about what is being said at that website is a incongruous mixture of sciences. Science as I understand (I'm no expert) it confirms a singularity, which is in full accord to Genesis and makes perfect sense. Therefore leads us in the direction of a intelligent beginning and a point in time when it was created. Hubble explained this red shift as being due to the fact that the galaxies are moving away from us. He concluded that the universe is literally flying apart at enormous velocities. Hubble's astronomical observations were the first EMPIRICAL confirmation of the predictions by Friedman and Lemaitre. "Then in the 1940s, George Gamow predicted that if the Big Bang really happened, then the background temperature of the universe should be just a few degrees above absolute zero. He said this would be a relic from a very early stage of the universe. Sure enough, in 1965, two scientists accidentally discovered the universe's background radiation-and it was only about 3.7 degrees above absolute zero. There's no explanation for this apart from the fact that it is a vestige of a very early and a very dense state of the universe, which was predicted by the Big Bang model. "The third main piece of evidence for the Big Bang is the origin of light elements. Heavy elements, like carbon and iron, are synthesized in the interior of stars and then exploded through supernovae into space. But the very, very light elements, like deuterium and helium, cannot have been synthesized in the interior of stars, because you would need an even more powerful furnace to create them. These elements must have been forged in the furnace of the Big Bang itself at temperatures that were billions of degrees. There's no other explanation. "So predictions about the Big Bang have been consistently verified by scientific data. Moreover, they have been corroborated by the failure of every attempt to falsify them by alternative models. Unquestionably, the Big Bang model has impressive scientific credentials." Was and still is shocking to a lot of people like Albert... "When Albert Einstein developed his general theory of relativity in 1915 and started applying it to the universe as a whole, he was shocked to discover it didn't allow for a static universe." I'm not saying it could be different however based on the evidence we have, its a greater and better argument for big bang then not. The interesting thing about that article is the problems they state with the big bang really weren't problems with the big bang at all, but rather the inability of science to explain the singularity without a CREATOR! That is what the goal of that information is. The most widely know (and madly popular) attempt at this Stephen Hawking's "A Brief History of Time" Hawkings said "So long as the universe had a beginning, we could suppose it had a creator. But if the universe is really completely self-contained, having no boundary or edge, it would have neither beginning nor end: it would simply be. What place, then, for a creator?" Hawkings created this model where there was no singularity (even though it has a beginning) using "imaginary numbers" What are imaginary numbers you ask? They are multiples of the square root of negative one. imaginary numbers are used in science to "grease the equations to get the result the mathematician wants. That's fine but when you have to prove this theory and get real physical results you have to convert the imaginary numbers into real ones. Hawking refuses to convert them. Those that have converted them "for him" find without exception when you plug in real numbers the singularity reappears. Later Hawking concedes in his NEXT book that his computation were not realistic, and it was merely a mathematical way of "modeling the beginning of the universe in such a manner that the singularity doesn't appear." No one at this point in time has been able to prove mathematically that there was no singularity but there is much evidence to support it. There's a very simple reason why science is trying hard to disprove big bang (a singularity). If the universe had a beginning what caused it to begin and all the evidence leads to a creator and intelligent design so they resort to things like imaginary numbers and even lying. The Big Bang was not a chaotic, disorderly event. Instead, it appears to have been fine-tuned for the existence of intelligent life with a complexity and precision that literally defies human comprehension. In other words, the universe we see today-and our very existence-depends upon a set of highly special initial conditions. This phenomenon is strong evidence that the Big Bang was not an accident, but that it was designed. Theorists who are uncomfortable about this want to avoid the problem by trying to explain how you can get a universe like ours without these special initial conditions. Evolution does NOT have the same credentials or proofs as cosmological data, in fact, just the opposite is true. "Evolution has insurmountable hurdles involving the origin of biological information that simply cannot be resolved by more research and effort starting with the Cambrian explosion. I like how Stephen Meyer put it, "They are not going to wake up from their nightmare." Stephen has written a few great books worth reading. "Signature in the Cell and Darwins Doubt" the latter being the most damming book against Evolution I've ever read, completely destroys it. In a nutshell Evolution requires great leaps of blind faith whereas the cosmological arguments are at least products of some evidence. Here's a little excerpt you might like reading: "The most glaring deficiency of the fossil record is biology's Big Bang, the Cambrian explosion. The majority-or, according to some experts, all-of the world's forty phyla, the highest category in the animal kingdom, virtually sprang forth with unique body plans more than five hundred million years ago. The sudden appearance of these radically new life forms, devoid of prior transitions, has turned Darwin's Tree of Life on its head. Darwin predicted that new discoveries would explain away this quantum leap in biological complexity. In reality, they have only made matters worse. the Cambrian explosion is "inexplicable" under his hypothesis." "Whenever we find a sequential arrangement that's complex and corresponds to an independent pattern or function, this kind of information is always the product of intelligence. "Books, computer codes, and DNA all have these two properties," he said. "We know books and computer codes are designed by intelligence, and the presence of this type of information in DNA also implies an intelligent source." In addition, Meyer said the Cambrian explosion's dazzling array of new life forms, which suddenly appeared fully formed in the fossil record, with no prior transitions, would have required the infusion of massive amounts of new biological information. "Information is the hallmark of mind,". "And purely from the evidence of genetics and biology, we can infer the existence of a mind that's far greater than our own-a conscious, purposeful, rational, intelligent designer who's amazingly creative."
  3. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-24958048 Japan's Fukushima nuclear plant begins fuel rod removal. Tepco has been preparing for months to remove fuel rods at Fukushima. Workers at Japan's stricken Fukushima nuclear plant have begun removing fuel rods from a storage pond at the Unit 4 reactor building. The delicate operation is seen as a necessary step in stabilising the site. It will take about two days to remove the first 22 fuel rod assemblies, plant operator Tepco says. Overall, more than 1,500 assemblies must be removed in what correspondents describe as a risky and dangerous operation set to take a year. Experts say hydrogen explosions after the earthquake and tsunami in March 2011 have made the current storage facility vulnerable to further tremors. The fuel rod assemblies are four-metre long tubes containing pellets of uranium fuel, and the fear is that some may have been damaged during the disaster. When the tsunami struck, water knocked out cooling systems to three of Fukushima's reactors, which went into a state of partial meltdown. Unit 4 was undergoing maintenance, so all of its fuel rods were being stored. But a build-up of hydrogen triggered an explosion in Unit 4, damaging its structure. 'Important process' The removal process, which has been preceded by months of repair work and planning, began on Monday afternoon. "At 15:18 [06:18 GMT], we started to pull up the first fuel assembly with a crane," a spokesman for Tepco (Tokyo Electric Power Company) said. A recently installed crane is being lowered into the pool and hooked on to the assemblies to place them inside a cask. Removal of fuel rods from the storage pond is a key step in the decommissioning Tepco has conducted trial runs of the process, which involves large casks The fuel rods will then be deposited into a more secure storage pool with a cooling system. Experts say it is vital that the casks are watertight so the rods have no contact with air - which risks overheating and possible contamination. Yoshihide Suga, Japan's top government spokesman, said he hoped the operation would go as planned. "We hope that this [process] will be conducted in a manner that will not disturb local residents, and that the removal will be done on schedule, properly and safely," he said. Tepco spokesman Masayuki Ono called the operation "a very important process in moving ahead with the plant's decommissioning". Nuclear Regulation Authority Chairman Shunichi Tanaka has warned that rubble from the blast in the pool could pose a problem, Kyodo news agency reported. "The fuel has to be handled very carefully. There is a need to make sure that a fuel assembly is not pulled out (from the fuel rack) by force when it gets stuck because of the rubble," Kyodo news agency quoted him as saying. The Fukushima nuclear power plant has suffered a number of setbacks in recent months, including a series of toxic water leaks and worker errors. 1. Small crane retrieves spent fuel rods from storage pool. A protective shell has been built over the top of the damaged reactor building. There are 1,331 spent fuel rods and 202 unused fuel rods to be removed 2. Fuel rods are carefully lowered into specially-constructed casks, which each weigh 91 tonnes and can hold up to 22 rods 3. A larger crane lifts full cask out of the storage pond and lowers it out of the building and on to a flat-bed truck. The casks will then be taken to a safe storage pool on the Fukushima site
  4. It's not just Demming. - They have over 100 a month all over the states.
  5. You have no idea what's happening out there right now then. A+ on the dental roadside checks but evidently they are not as fun for certain agencies.
  6. Have you read about the roadside cavity checks yet?
  7. People all over the spectrum complain about stats (when it suits them) - I've taken stats and people can manipulate the wording of a question to influence how people will answer, or can manipulate the way the results are reported to produce whatever impression they like. Area bias, self selection bias, leading question bias, social desirability bias, etc... Bottom line is it's people inject these methods of lying and cheating, not the math. I'd give examples but Chuck might throw a shoe at me or something These problems do exist... A similar problem exists in scientific measurements (climate change). This is why there some major confusion. However, this is what I learned: Stats don't lie, people do. The numbers aren’t wrong. The people are reporting them wrong. My teachers favorite saying was "97% of the people using stats are making them up 90% of the time" (droll math humor) The numbers aren’t being manipulated; the story about the numbers are being manipulated. So when someone tells you, hiding behind his best pocket protector and taped glasses, “statistics can be manipulated to give you any result you want”, he is wrong. He is, there is no doubt about it, factually wrong. ( I forget the stat on this)... This whole mindset has been pushed and has infected the world and made them look stupid. Black is white, good is bad etc... (incredibly enough, we were told this would happen in the Bible, hows that for a stat! ) It only takes a few minutes of checking and though to see what is truth and what is lie as far as stats go. The proof is in the pudding... always. The sad part is people would rather quickly take a side, based on a bias or sales pitch, rather then actually do the simple math (and it is simple) to find the truth. People count on you doing that, they count on you being a sucker or lazy. In my humble opinion the greatest living teacher of stats on the planet. Stats made easy to understand... Very easy ... I hope you all enjoy it, he's very good. He's also a hard core eugenics supporter. http://youtu.be/umFnrvcS6AQ That's my two centavos ...
  8. Is this the LGBT Noah or non LGBT Noah version? jk - Naturally Hollywood will not be using our new bible .. interested in seeing how it turns out. UK Trailer -- Noah has gone superhero ...
  9. Bush considered Human Rights Council beyond redemption after 700k plus dead and several wars started on lies.. This is also funny .. The pot calling the kettle black.
  10. There has to be some sort of comedy award to be handed out for this. This is one of the funniest and saddest things I've seen in a long time. China, Cuba, Russia and Saudi Arabia are running the UN Human Rights Council -- 4 of the greatest tyrannies of all time to decide what's good for the world. Funny. hmm lemme see, where is this going?
  11. http://www.reuters.com/article/2013/11/12/us-un-rights-council-idUSBRE9AB19E20131112 Delegates and representatives listen during the Human Rights Council Universal Periodic Review session at the European headquarters of the United Nations in Geneva October 29, 2013. Credit: Reuters/Denis Balibouse (Reuters) - China, Cuba, Russia and Saudi Arabia on Tuesday won three-year seats on the Geneva-based Human Rights Council, the United Nations' top rights body, despite concerns about abuses and restrictions on freedoms in all four nations. Also winning seats on the 47-nation council were Algeria, Britain, France, Mexico, the Maldives, Morocco, Namibia, South Africa, Vietnam, and the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia. The annual election for one-third of the council's membership was held in the 193-nation U.N. General Assembly. South Sudan and Uruguay failed to win election to the council in competitive slates for their respective regional groups. The other regions had uncontested ballots. The newly elected countries will be on the council from 2014 through 2016. U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Samantha Power said the newly elected members of the council include "some that commit significant violations of the rights the council is designed to advance and protect" and that the election itself was a reminder that the council's work remains unfinished. Power did not specify which countries she was referring to. Peggy Hicks of Human Rights Watch was more specific. "With the return of China, Russia, Saudi Arabia and Cuba, human rights defenders will have their work cut out for them at the Human Rights Council next year," said Hicks, an expert at the New York-based advocacy group. "Fortunately, no states have a veto in Geneva so a hard-working majority can still achieve concrete results." Hicks said members of council that are committed to human rights will need to redouble their efforts on a number of problems. These include the civil war in Syria, accountability for crimes committed during the final months of Sri Lanka's civil war and the conflict in the Central African Republic. According to U.N. Watch, a Geneva-based advocacy group that monitors the United Nations, only four of the 16 candidates for the 14 open seats were qualified to be members of the council on the basis of their human rights records. They were Britain, France, Macedonia and Mexico. Iran and Syria had been planning to run for the Human Rights Council but pulled out amid criticism of their rights records. QUESTIONABLE RIGHTS RECORDS There was a small protest against China's policy on Tibet across the street from the United Nations as the vote took place. Western countries accused China last month of arresting activists, curbing Internet use and suppressing ethnic minorities, as the United Nations formally reviewed its rights record for the first time since Xi Jinping became president in March. Saudi Arabia's human rights record has also came under fire at the United Nations with critics accusing the kingdom last month of jailing activists without due process and abusing the basic rights of Saudi women and foreign workers. Jordan withdrew from the election after Saudi Arabia abandoned its seat on the U.N. Security Council to protest against the 15-nation body's inaction on Syria, the Middle East peace process and Iran. Western diplomats said Jordan stepped aside to allow the Saudis an almost certain victory on the uncontested Human Rights Council voting slate. Despite its withdrawal from the election, Jordan received 16 votes. Jordan is set to take Saudi Arabia's Security Council seat, diplomats say, although that would require the General Assembly to hold a special election. In response to criticism of its human rights record, Cuba said in May that it would consider letting in U.N. investigators to examine allegations of torture and repression and allowing Red Cross officials access to its prisons for the first time in nearly 25 years. The European Union, Human Rights Watch and others have criticized Russia's human rights record as well. They have voiced concerns about restrictive legislation, prosecutions against activists and limits on press freedom.
  12. That's true enough. No flash floods or the like? I'm just thinking -- what could possibly go wrong - man is doing it. ha!
  13. haha -- I guess that's not really funny because after thinking about it a minute - they actually might equate the two somehow ... I mean it's FOX.
